Thanks to Wagepoint I’m living one of Kafka’s nightmares.
I don’t have the right email so they can’t help. I no longer have access to an HR or Wagepoint admin so I can’t be helped. The company is defunct, I a pitiful employee have no control over that, trust me if I did I would be employed still. I provide proof via my personal email to show them hey here’s what’s happening from my end, no bueno to them.
Their Wagepoint 1.0 web portal HTTP301s for infinity so I can never login and view my paystubs or tax documents properly unless I jerryrig something with the cache and cookies.
I have working credentials and working 2FA but their webpage portal for old accounts is busted. I provide the proof to the CSR and she escalates. Weeks go by and I ask for an update, she escalates some more. Get a reply today to basically go pound sand for the reasons above. Just back to square one. To me it means it got escalated and no one did anything for weeks, then someone on the team found a technicality to worm their way out of actually doing something. Look you guys don’t want me emailing or leaving negative reviews then have a proper web page portal. It cannot 301 on the end user for funsies. Beyond aggravated.

Misrepresentation
Misrepresentation: “we usually approve accounts in 3 to 5 business days”. It's been 14 days and still counting, and this is after I cancelled my old payroll service. To say this is a disappointment is an understatement. Now payroll is going to be late, but they don't care. This kind of service is a precursor for future service so I cancelled Wagepoint.

Maybe they bought airplane tickets and were on their way to physically see me and my Id. Oh well.
Frustrating and unprofessional onboarding
Wagepoint’s onboarding process has been frustrating and unprofessional. They request extremely sensitive client information yet provide no secure way to transmit it. At one point, we were told to send confidential banking data by email, which even our bank flagged as insecure. They suggested fax as an alternative, only to later claim it didn’t work.
The lack of clear process, poor communication, and disregard for security standards raise serious concerns about how client information is handled. For a payroll company, this is unacceptable. Onboarding should inspire confidence and trust, but instead it has created doubts about their reliability and compliance.

I’ve been with Wagepoint for about a year, and unfortunately, I’m now ready to leave. The onboarding process was smooth and promising, but since then things have gone steadily downhill.
The biggest issue is support. I was told help would always be available, but in reality, it’s next to impossible to get timely assistance. IT and support are consistently three days behind in responding, and when they finally do reply, it’s usually just boilerplate answers or links to information already on their website. For a company that markets itself as payroll professionals, I expected more guidance. Instead, anything beyond the simplest questions gets pushed back to my accountant, without even a suggestion on which way to proceed.
The platform itself looks cute and friendly on the surface, but it’s slow and clunky in practice—I constantly find myself clicking and waiting for updates to load. Now, on top of that, they’ve decided to raise prices. I wouldn’t mind paying more if there were genuine improvements, but the only “upgrade” I’ve seen is an AI help feature that does little to solve real issues. Getting a live person is almost impossible.
Overall, I can’t recommend Wagepoint. Their onboarding makes a good first impression, but they fail to deliver afterward. If you’re looking for payroll with reliable support and a proven track record, I’d suggest exploring other options. Sadly, I don’t think Wagepoint will stand the test of time.

I have been trying to sign up for the past week
I have been trying to sign up with Wagepoint for the past week. When I try to sign up on line, I get an error message. I have tried calling them 2 twice. Waited on line for quite a while to get a recording to leave a message which I did. I did not receive a return call. Today I called again, waited on line again for a long time to get the same message. Didn't bother leaving one. Perhaps they have very few staff or they are not looking for any more business. I'm giving up!

Software is easy to use, but the support is horrendous!! After six years using wagepoint, my account was hacked. They blamed me and closed my account after trying to get this try for six months.
