Rented an awful villa in Portugal. It was dirty and dangerous. They sent people to addresss some of the issues, but had them walk right into the property while we were there. I was in the middle of changing my 3 year old child when a stranger walked in to the private garden with a camera (fairly certain it is illegal to enter a privately rented property without the consent of the renter..). He was there on behalf of Interhomes. They completely ignore emails, won't address my complaints and have made no effort to make things right.
As for the villa, as mentioned very dirty, bathrooms were horrible, pool light was hanging off the wall, socket in the main living room was smashed.
The only thing worse than the villa is their customer care.
Avoid this company - SCAM
Avoid using this company, I have had a really bad experience with them.
They have a mandatory security deposit to pay on arrival, this goes against Airbnb policy. Do not pay the security deposit, Airbnb is responsible for this, it goes against the Airbnb policy.
Look in great detail at the house rules, they basically put a contract there with nonsense rules.
If you have this issue, please try to cancel the reservation, in my case, I could not do it because the booking was not refundable, what I did is contact Airbnb, initiate a case, then 5 days later, they refunded all the money and they also gave me a 230 euros cupon to expend for my next booking.
It was a bit hard to deal with Airbnb at the beginning but then they were great.

Excellent, professional and very helpful.
I have booked through Interhome previously and have found them to be excellent. From booking to accommodation they are very helpful. We had to cancel our booking from 2020 due to the pandemic and the staff were very helpful in making this easy. We have just booked with them again for 2022 and we look forward to our holiday in Sainte Maxime once again.

Beware, hidden fees and charges! Total is not Total, Interhome (c)
Booking process was fine, but hidden fees and charges for the stay (around 50% over originally displayed rate) were not obvious at all (fine print, different page? I don't know, but it couldn't be spotted, "total" did not include it at all). Only after non-refundable payment was made and final invoice was received I revealed it. This is not acceptable in 2019, ugly experience.
Replying to Interhome's comment: this is, of course, a very important piece of information that Interhome's media representative is happy with Interhome's booking experience. The approach and attitude to customers just speak for itself. Why then bother asking for a comment? Just go ahead doing what you do.
Going in a bit of details, though, Instead of displaying "Total" first and adding "Compulsory extra costs" somewhere down below the page (which, by the way, you have to calculate yourself: whether each type of fee is applicable, then multiply by number of persons etc), you better just include everything in "Total". As your much more respected competitors do. So that you can compare accommodations based o real final cost and, also, that you can see what you are actually going to pay.

Excellent customer service
I have booked with Interhome twice now and will do so again as the customer service is excellent. They respond promptly to requests and are available 24/7 by phone. They keep you informed with emails, but don't send too many communications, as other companies tend to do. The apartments are good value and well-maintained, and the local service (via a local agency) is efficient and reliable.
