Great communication! Could not recommend more

We loved our stay in Florence in this charming apartment. First, location...could not be more convenient to all we wanted to see and do. Second, very comfortable beds, excellent bathrooms, nice kitchen. Third, interesting decor. Fourth, amazing views - rooftops, Palazzo Vecchio terrace.
I would recommend this apartment to anyone who does not need an elevator.

I want to thank MMega Homes & Villas for the experience we had during our stay in Florence, Italy. They were welcoming, punctual, communicative and definitely a great host. I had to say they were very accommodating as well, allowing us to have an early. check-in since due to the extreme weather my daughter experienced fever and we got to Florence earlier than the set check in time which was at 3pm. We were in the apartment by 11:45am. In addition, they allow us to have an extra guess for a couple of days for a very convenient and reasonable fee. The property is located in a perfect area at Santo Spirito, near everything you can imagine by the Arno River, restaurants, shopping area in the heart of the most iconic and majestic surroundings that Florence has to offer. Thank you for your hospitality, we are looking forward to visiting Florence again in the near future, there is still so much to see there.

Great location, very central and easy to find and walk around. The apartment is comfortable and convenient and was warm in the winter.

The check in process was smooth.
Vladimir was in contact with us and made sure everything was working in the apartment.

The location was amazing! The fireworks over the Duomo on New Years Eve was something to see.
So much to do and see close by!

The apartment was nice, well located, and comfortable. If we had booked it just for sleeping, it would have been sufficient.
Unfortunately, the bedding provided was inadequate for a proper night's sleep, the flat was hard to heat, and the kitchen was poorly equipped (only one pan, no tablespoon, insufficient cooking oil, toilet paper, and dish soap). We had no possibility to trash our rubbish according to recycling criteria.
Moreover, we chose this place because it was advertised with two beds, but only one was made up with sheets and blankets. I had to contact customer service and pay an extra €15—despite initially being asked for €145—for something I reasonably expected to be included. I am afraid that, if I had not been Italian, the price would have been 145...
It's a great spot for enjoying the center of Florence, but the overall concept seems tailored more to mass tourism than to offering a truly welcoming experience.

Apartment was infested with insects. We all got bit up by mosquitoes and other insects. All windows and doors were shut. Local management was of no help.

I had a great stay in this apartment: clean, well-maintained, and exactly as described. Communication was always clear and quick, which made everything very easy.

We rented an apartment in Florence for vacation. The company made the experience very easy: good communication and easy check in and check out.

I booked an apartment from MMega expecting a clean, safe place to stay. I am sharing my personal experience so others can make informed decisions.

I booked this room and quickly discovered serious mold issues throughout. There was a strong smell, and I found visible mold near the bed, behind furniture, and around the windows. I have medical documentation advising me to leave immediately due to the health risks.

A professional inspector later evaluated the situation. He explained that, in their expert opinion, the remediation would likely cost €8,000 or more because the moisture and damage appear long-term and structural. The inspector confirmed it was not safe for me to stay in that apartment.

Throughout this process, I tried repeatedly to communicate with the rental company, but I was eventually blocked on WhatsApp and email, making it impossible for me to resolve anything directly.

I also personally visited the business addresses associated with the rental. In my experience, none of the locations had any operational office, which raised even more concerns.

The individual connected to the rental, Edobardo Mancetti, appears to be associated with multiple business names, and in my opinion, the overall pattern of communication and behavior felt extremely unprofessional and misleading. I also believe many of the positive reviews may be false. They do not reflect the same experience I suffered. This company also seems to have multiple fake listings across many platforms. These listings are not available, but clients are directed to other listings that are disguising or falsely advertised. Rentals that were showing up online, available for certain dates, were not available when contacting the company.

I regret giving this company money and hope this review helps others.

I stayed in Florence for a week, and it was an amazing experience. The room had everything I needed — clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The location couldn’t have been better — right in the heart of the city, within walking distance to all the main attractions, great restaurants, and shops. It made exploring Florence so easy and enjoyable. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting!

The stay was good but I wanted it to be great. There were good things and some not so good things.
I’ll start by saying that MMega customer service is good. When you contact them, they’re really good about getting back to you as well as all the people that work with them once you get to your destination.
The issue is this property although very nice are not up to what I would assume would be Marriott standards. We had a few little hiccups.
Our first issue upon arriving was that all of the toilet seats were broken or loose and slipped when you sat on them. They didn’t offer to fix them while we were there. Just thanked us for letting them know. Pretty frustrating everyday multiple time a day adjusting the toilet seats. Secondly, I’m not sure if it’s that way in all of the buildings in Florence but none of the windows had screens on them so when we open the windows because the weather was nice it let in mosquitoes (lots and lots of mosquitoes) which made us have lots and lots of mosquito bites. I would think that if they knew they had issues this time of year with mosquitoes, they would find a way to put screens on the windows. They’re also was a broken window latch that even when we tried to close could not be fully closed, which made it that much worse for the mosquitoes. The apartment was nice, freshly remodeled bathrooms, but it did appear to smell mildew inside of my shower after the first use. However the bathrooms are painted a dark grey so there was no way of knowing where it was coming from. That bothered me throughout the stay.
I’m not sure if I didn’t read all of the information about this particular location because I looked at a lot of locations when trying to decide on a place to stay, but it was a FOUR story walk up. It was very very hard with luggage. I feel like that should’ve been more clear because it was extreme. It was a lovely location in Santa Spirito but it was also very loud till early in the mornings. Another thing I feel like should be made clear when trying to decide on a place to stay.
The house itself is large. The showers (bathrooms in general) were big, which is not common for all rentals in Italy we noticed. The beds were comfortable. The apartment was clean. So like I said over all I feel like it was good. Since it was a very special trip for our family I would have loved it to have been great.

I will never use MMEGA again.

We rented an apartment in Florence for the months of July and August, 2025 through MMEGA. As part of the arrangement, security deposits were required. A deposit of 1459,50 Euros was made in March and a second deposit of 1802,50 Euros was made upon our arrival on July 1st. We used our credit card for both deposits.
A refund of our initial deposit was posted to our credit card account on September 5th.
We have had numerous communications with MMEGA since but have not received the refund of our second deposit. MMEGA insists that there bank has processed the refund. On multiple occasions, I have sent MMEGA copies of our credit card statments that shows no other refund was ever processed. MMEGA refuses to do anything else to resolve this issue.
DON'T EVER GIVE THEM A SECURITY DEPOSIT. YOU PROBABLY WON'T EVER GET IT BACK!

I'll never use VRBO again - customer service is attrocious.

I recently booked a 3 night stay at an accommodation for an MMega apartment hotel hosted by VRBO in Florence for Oct 19-22. I had until Sept 19th to cancel the accommodation but based on reviews, and my confirmed travel plans there was no need. We arrive at the accommodations at 6:30pm and the unit is up 3 flights of stairs, in the dark (no lights) that were not advised. Next we enter the unit and it smelled SO STRONGLY of raw sewage, the scent had permiated the fabric curtains and bed clothes. My mother opened the window to try to air out the unit and the entire window casing was covered in sharp rust. The unit was in such terrible shape that there was no way I could safely keep my elderly mother in the unit.

I contacted the apartment guide, he said he would provide the handy man's number, however if the smell is so strong it's in the fabric curtains and bedding, there is no way he's going to fix it at 6:30pm. I paid $1000 CDN (over and above the $828CDN I paid to Mmega) to last minute book an acceptable hotel where my mom would be safe. I had to contact VRBO customer support five (5) seperate times (including when the supervisor hung up on me) and they were no use. They kept telling me that I'm right, that's completely unacceptable, they wouldn't keep their mother there either, etc, then stating they spoke to MMega hotels and they will not provide a refund since I am past the cancellation date and I didn't contact their handyman.

VRBO states they wouldn't be able to provide a refund since payment went to MMega directly and I can't provide photographic proof of the smell (HOW DO YOU TAKE A PICTURE OF THE SMELL I ASK??)

VRBO customer service would tell me one thing, then something different in an email. I would ask them for copies of the recorded phone calls we were on, but that was "against policy". I would ask for emails detailing their agreement with me that the state of the unit was unacceptable, again it's "against policy".

An absolute scam - I will never use VRBO or MMega Homes and Villas again, and will actively provide my honest feedback going foward to anyone I can.

The experience was amazing. The villa was out of this world.
The Mmega booking department helped us in such a great way, offerìng tours, incredible restaurants where we tasted amazing Italian dishes. I would really recomend them, they made our trip exceptional.
