Today I had a cleaning arranged through Oscar and the lady Francine who came was absolutely fantastic. She did a very thorough and detailed job, cleaned the flat to a high standard and paid real attention to the details. Despite some delays due to transport, I am extremely happy with her service and I honestly think she is one of the best workers Oscar has.
Unfortunately, I do need to mention an issue with the Oscar company and app itself. Additional charges were applied without any prior notice, which resulted in the final price increasing by nearly 80% compared to what was originally agreed. In this particular case, I understand that the job was bigger and the extra charge was deserved, but this should not happen this way. If the price and time are agreed in advance, the app should not suddenly double the cost without clear communication and customer approval. This is something that, unfortunately, I have to highlight in my review.

The operative came out and was very polite and respectful of my home.
He was really very friendly.
Asked what I needed done and assessed the work needing completing.
He brought his own tools and didn’t wait to start the work. He completed the task within good time.

Horrible!!! Two days and two technicians cancelled 5 minutes before the service - now we need to wait 10 days for refund.
They kept offering random timings…
Avoid at all costs!!!!! I had to contact them myself to ask for refund - not even decency to email to arrange.

I would strongly advise caution when using this company. I booked a washing machine repair on two occasions. The first appointment was a no-show, costing me half a day at home. The second appointment was delayed by 90 minutes, and unfortunately the experience deteriorated further from there.
The technician was unprofessional and made me uncomfortable during the visit. The issue itself was minor (a dial replacement), yet the machine was not repaired. Worse, the technician left with the water supply disconnected, leaving me with a completely unusable washing machine - one that was at least functional prior to the visit.
There appears to be no reliable way to speak to a representative directly. The resolution offered was a 50% refund and a voucher for a follow-up repair, which is insufficient given that the service rendered actively worsened the condition of the appliance. From a customer service perspective, this falls well below reasonable expectations
It’s disappointing, as the concept itself is convenient, but the execution is poor and raises concerns about technician vetting. Based on my experience, other reviews, and the fact that I’m now left with a more severely damaged appliance than before, this outcome is unsatisfactory to say the least
I’m still awaiting confirmation of whether anyone will attend to properly repair the machine?

The deep cleaning service I booked did not meet the standards advertised.
The service lasted only one hour, despite being sold as a deep cleaning. During that time, several essential tasks were not completed or were done poorly, including:
• The oven was not cleaned
• The refrigerator was not cleaned
• The bathroom glass/shower screens were not cleaned
The stove was left dirty
• Overall cleaning quality was superficial, not a deep clean
Given the scope of work that was advertised, the duration and quality of the service were unacceptable. I paid for a deep cleaning and did not receive. They never come for the rectification that was booked twice. It was terrible service.

I tried to book a job for days. When they accepted the guy never came and just said I didn’t find parking and I left and then I called him to tell him that I will let him in the garage and he just didn’t show up. When I booked again they changed the time 2 hours ahead so I changed my schedule to be at home and 5 minutes Before the job the technician cancelled but this didn’t show up in the app (probably for me to go in and cancel and get charged).
DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM.

Booked a deep cleaning for my apartment. It was awful. The cleaner was an hour late. She did not clean anything. I complained but received no response. This seems to be others issue with Oscar as well.

I booked a service for 2:00pm at 2:10 no sign of him then I received a message saying he was running late as the cleaning tools for my carpet were locked away and could not locate them but he did eventually. On the map he was running 1 hour late . I followed him on his tracker and he arrived outside. I was waiting for him to call my intercom so I could let him in the building.He never did
So I received another message to say that he had left. This is when the fun starts, there is no direct contact number for Oscar, I tried every way possible even customer service no one returned my messages, let’s not mention the BOT. I finally after searching google found a messaging service . Basically he said he called me but went to voice mail. Then I was told that he called my apt but my intercom never buzzed. Customer service is none existence and I think this is a scam so be careful using Oscar. I will call my credit card company to dispute this charge as I received no service or customer service as their website is not customer friendly. Can anyone recommend a carpet and upholster cleaning service!!! Oscar never will get an Oscar on customer service alone!!

PT, Porto - They don’t properly vet the professionals they use. I ordered a cleaner who literally just changed the sheets and left. This is absolutely ridiculous. I filed a complaint did not receive a response. Charge me a fortune and services were not provided properly.

I booked end of tenancy cleaning with them and the standard is poor. First of all the cleaner is one hour late. There is still heavy dust on my window after the cleaning. I’ve booked for rectification which is difficult to book as they will only send you the same Cleaner and you will need to work around their timeslot. Again with the rectification, the Cleaner is 1.5 hour late. Their CS response quick but useless. The complaint procedure is also useless.

I am beyond disappointed with Oscar. I paid £113 for a fridge repair, and all I got was a clueless technician who spoke no language I understand (English, Italian, French, Spanish, German). He spent over 20 minutes doing who knows what—my fridge only needed a gas refill. Then he told me he had to take a part and would return because the pipe was damaged. He never came back, and I was left with no fridge, two kids, and zero communication. We complained, and they scheduled a second visit with the same operator. He canceled on the morning of the appointment. We only got back £70, but the whole experience was a scam—wasted money, time, and trust. Absolutely shameful service

I used the app to book a service for planing some doors at an agreed hourly price. Materials were added on despite none being used and the technician didn’t end the time when he finished the job so I was charged for nearly 1.5 hours extra. They the took all the extras from my card without permission. Customer service are a nightmare to get in touch with and don’t even read the issue properly. I ended up having to try and get the £170 they shouldn’t have taken back through my bank.

I booked a tap repair through the Oscar app because my bathroom tap was leaking. The technician attended but instead of repairing it, he broke the tap and left it unusable with the water stuck on. I had to shut off the water supply at the mains. I then had to purchase the valve myself, but the tap still wasn’t fixed.
When I contacted Oscar to resolve the issue, they refused to take responsibility or compensate for the damage caused by their technician. No solution was offered, and I was left with a broken tap and additional costs.
I’ve since had to raise a chargeback with my bank due to the lack of support and accountability. Extremely disappointing experience and I would not recommend using this service.

I booked Oscar for the first time and they couldn’t even find me a cleaner. I decided to give them another chance, and it was a complete disaster. The technician was late, kept me waiting for 1 hour and 30 minutes, and then canceled the service. I needed this cleaning because I had friends coming over—so the whole plan was completely ruined.
I asked for compensation so I could arrange another service immediately, but customer service didn’t even bother to help. No support, no accountability, terrible communication, and useless policies.

I was charged for a service that no technician took. The payment was charged, service was not taken and the app support refuses to help. Simply saying there is a 9€ cancellation fee.
