Was just about to purchase and then saw this auto renewal rubbish:

To make sure you have continuous cover under your policy, we will aim to automatically renew (auto-renew) your policy when it runs out, unless you tell us not to. Each year we will notify you by email 6 weeks before the renewal date of your policy, and tell you about any changes to the premium or the policy terms and conditions. If you do not want us to auto-renew your policy, please call us at any stage after you have purchased the policy.

There is no way to purchase and not opt-out from autorenewal. Pretty sure this is illegal?

I had hoped that Clevercards were different from One4All (who are truly horrible with their hidden admin fees).
Sadly they're not. I will not use again.

Went to pick up the dishwasher, which was ordered online with in-store pickup, only to be told it wasn't available and wouldn't be until the next day.
Would have been a wasted journey, but found the same machine in a rival store and bought there instead.

Absolute cretins. All communications are required via an online portal which doesn't get read. The company have no clue what they're doing and employ rude, moronic staff

Avoid! Nothing wrong with the insurance service, except they auto-renew your policy. I have never allowed a company to auto-renew any policy in my life, yet somehow they snuck it into the small print, so I now have to resort to the Financial Ombudman to resolve this SHARP PRACTICE.
