VRBO is easily one of the worst booking platforms I’ve ever used. The service is disorganized, unreliable, and their so-called “customer support” is basically nonexistent. When something goes wrong, you’re left completely on your own, bounced around with no real help or accountability.
Listings can be misleading, host verification feels weak at best, and VRBO conveniently hides behind the host instead of taking responsibility. They charge high fees but offer zero real protection to guests. No transparency, no empathy, and no solutions.
I wasted time, money, and patience trying to resolve an issue they clearly didn’t care about. Once they get your payment, you’re no longer a priority.
Do yourself a favor and avoid this platform. There are far better, safer, and more trustworthy alternatives out there
