The recent asks made me realize that, while I’ve been testing out a new posting schedule for myself, I never let you guys know what I’m currently working with. So, without further ado, here’s the current blog schedule.

image

Monday - I’m offline most of the day
Tuesday - ask replies + a preview of a current writing project
Wednesday - liveblog
Thurdsay - non-cartoon/I like other things post
Friday - ask replies + posting day for finished projects
Saturday - ask replies
Sunday - liveblog

Any inconsistencies will be because I’m busy with IRL stuff or I’m extra tired / under the weather. I’ll be extra active when there’s an ask game going on, naturally. I have a queue for reblogs automatically posting even on days I’m offline.

I’ll probably be the most active between 15:00 GMT and 19:00 GMT because that’s early evening for me.

I try to be consistent about how I tag stuff, so if you follow the blog for only specific stuff, you can use this guide to block out stuff that would clog/spam your dash.

While I agree that she has a lot of burden and anytime people have issues they come up to her but saying she has no help is crazy agree with the felix case though .

Yeah, we laughed at the idea that Félix thought Marinette would be a good pick to look after the Amoks, but the Kagami slander is uncalled for. Also, “all they do is put their burdens on marinette” is a wild claim to make period after they asked for help (that they then ended up not going through with) ONE TIME.

Oh, god, how dare these characters ask for Marinette’s help one time, that’s so unreasonable. Marinette is always expected to do everything. Ugh. Where’s all my salt fics where Marinette just tells these bozos “no” to their ungrateful faces?

Marinette stans can get out of here with these unreasonable claims.

We really have to start teaching people the meaning of manipulation don't we.

image

Yeah, like, maybe you could make the argument that the writers were trying to give off the idea that Marinette is being manipulated by Gabriel, but they just ended up underselling it way too much to the degree where the very idea seems laughable. The problem with the manipulating isn’t that it isn’t stated, it’s that it’s so barely a thing.

May be a hot take, but i dont think the *idea* of Senti-children is a terrible thing. I think it can be interesting to see a magical creature having to live in a world where it knows it isnt normal. Think, like, Pinocchio. Felix alone could have been a character to have that mini arc or even be another villain (like. All hate given, he does have a valid reason to be evil if we consider his sudden sob story to be totally not out of nowhere) who is simply jealous of his cousin who is everything he isnt and had everything he didnt.

But then they brought more and more things that make it questionable at best. Like, why Adrien and Kagami are sentimonsters? Do all members of that cult have sentichildren? Why would Gabriel/Nathalie/Emilie find this damaged artifact and their first thought would be "yup, lets make a baby from it", why would they even pass it around like a certain chair - is every woman/man of that order just so happens to have men and women who cannot have children? Why did no one think to fix the broken Peacock once it became obvious that using it will kill you? And why does it take a specific organ to rot to kill you to pay the price? What if i think "kindness" means having full stomach and not kind heart? Does it take my heart anyway? Why does it suddenly have the organ payment and not just simple "magic aids" that kill you?

And more importantly, why on earth was it tweeted and shown that simply having an amok object means you control your sentimonster? Because if it is not a retcon, then we cant take ANYTHING Adrien says and does close to Gabriel as completely normal/not influenced by Gabriel via the ring. The boy who is often at his home being a sentimonster who cannot refuse a command of a creator who always has him under control is a stupid idea. If Gabriel says "you are grounded", Adrien shouldnt even HAVE thoughts about going out. If Gabriel says anything, he should do it. Not to mention Emilie who also wore a ring all the time.

Plus the danger of Adrien being akumatized via his ring should be rendered null and void because of the intention bs, so the one thing that was actually threatening/had stakes now that Adrien got his rings is not important anymore. Just say "i dont wanna kill Adrien" and break the ring, catch akuma, boom, he is alive.

And also we have Kagami being a senti but at this point i dont give a damn about her being one as i feel like it was made purely so that Felix had a girlfriend to make out with. God forbid Noe is also a sentimonster for some "he wasnt really evil, Audrey or Chloe was just controlling him that way 🥺"

Adrien being a sentimonster will never make any sense!
The fact this is canon is so atrocious and stupid!

I got both of these takes at around the same time, so, like, hot take is hot, am I right?

Still, pretty much. Like, I’ve heard this before, that we could make Sentipeople work out, but, like, it always requires some workthroughs for how to tackle the subject, mostly due to the Sentipeople being controllable and killable by both the Amok and the Peacock Miraculous which is way too many exceptions when a normal human comes with exactly zero of those.

Do you think miraculous would be a better show if they stick with the beta/pv plot?

Hell nah. The thing with Miraculous is that any version of it would have had Astruc writing and, as we can see from the last 10 years and 5 seasons, Astruc can’t write.

Can i ask why people want chat noir to have a confidant in canon/ think it will be good? maybe that sounds weird cuz I understand it conceptually and enjoy it in fanworks. but in the actual CANON? i just don't see the point in asking for it.

he technically already has a person who knows his identity he can talk to if he needed a second opinion outside of plagg (luka). he just doesn't because any relationship outside of marinette doesn't exist. that, and they don't really care to address what struggles his chat noir identity could have (that isn't just an issue he has in his rs with lb and even that's poorly handled).

people like to bring up nino like it'll elevate his position in the story (oh i wish...). but it'd just have the same problem as alyanette slips into which is making ninos character revolve around what he can do for adrien. bc, seriously, do you expect any more? if they wanted nino to have a plot that gives him an important role in the main cast, they would have already done something with him. he's been here since s1 yet characters introduced in s4 get more than him. it's hopeless, i'm sorry.

it's also pretending like being adrien's best friend is an important role in this story. no, nino/ anyone being there for chat noir is NOT the same as alya for ladybug. alya is literally the understudy to the leader, knows all identities of the heroes, has access to guardian information, etc. if you want someone to have a bigger position in the story, you should be asking them to know who ladybug is. knowing chat noir's identity is like knowing who roosterbold is. it changes nothing outside of having someone to talk to (which as i've said before: chat noir isn't shown to need it & he probably wouldn't take advantage of it anyways (it'd position them on par or higher than mari in his life.))

of course, there's also the idea that it'll be important when chat noir "breaks off" from ladybug but i sincerely doubt that's going to happen for more than like a 2 part finale if at all. again, his relationship with mari has to be the most important at all times.

for me to want chat noir to have a confidant, chat noir would actually have to matter to the story or even just to adrien. if someone found out his identity in canon it'd just be luka again-- likely nothing would happen.

but idk. i'm just wondering if there's any way canon could realistically make this worth it. emphasis on realistic 'cause if it involves adrien as an active character in the plot i.... wouldn't hold my breath for it.

It’s that thing when people look at a single symptom of a problem and go “that sounds like a simple/small enough request that we might actually get it”. Yes, as he’s being written right now, without even an on-screen transformation sequence thirteen episodes into the new season, I don’t think any amount of giving Adrien someone to talk to would help him out.

But we must also remember that this request has existed since ‘Gang of Secrets’, when people saw Ladybug get her own confidante and thought “hey, you know what would make this fun and equal?!” And, like, season 4 is the one where we got the matched episodes ‘Truth’ and ‘Lies’, and people weren’t expecting a whole season’s worth of the series beating us over the heads that Adrien was never going to get anything.

By now, I feel like Astruc is either does not care or is "tired" on the fans on how they "don't understand his show/story" like him. Season 5 is a cleared scene on how Astruc blames the leakers and the viewers who watched the episodes out of order. In fairness, the leakers were bad but how come the studio who made the episodes are bad especially out of order?

And I hate how fans decided to follow his "gaslight" on season 6 having an order that we, the fans, and viewers needs to connect seeing how Astruc decided to change his mind from his tweet of how "The episodes can be watch out of order except the last 2 episodes" to "Fans needs to "connect the dots" on the story"

Which fails how miserably Astruc fails as a writer seeing you don't blame your audience, studio, or even ones who help you make the episode and decided to change it half way to the end just because he hires new writers or even was "inspired" on fanworks just to make his story likable when it feels like frozen in time seeing how a show that is 10 years old of premiering never grows or end with the creator dyenying on the age of his show

Miraculous is so old they had to redo all the assets they’d used to make the show because the program they were using to animate was unable to keep up. Yeah, I agree, it’s definitely wild that we’ve only completed the “first” storyarc with five seasons.

You know ilikekidsshows,

I been thinking about this but between Starco and Adrienette,

Which do you feel is the more frustrating Couple overall?

Both are overall bad imo (Concidentally, Both Couples have the burden of being tied to a bad event happening (Mewni and Earth Merging for Starco/Gabriel getting the Wish for Adrienette) as well) but which one do you feel is done worse in your opinion?

Adrinette involves freaking abuse apologia. Yeah yeah, “we’ve all heard about the abuse apologia already!” but that’s the reality of it.

Anonymous asked:

Astruc doesn’t just defend the show, he brags loudly and frequently that everything that happens in the show has been planned from the very start, that it was all there if we were just clever enough to look for it and the fans who see stuff as retcons or plot holes are attacked as being low IQ or only seeing what they want to see, so ofc he gets targeted as the root cause. He is also the one saying you can’t critique his show if you aren’t a successful show runner.

Yeah, like, Astruc has said some absolutely wild shit. And it’s only about writing that I hear nonsense like this. No one has tried to insist that you can’t tell if something’s edible or not without being a chef.

Asstruc wants to convince himself his show is so feminist and great for women.

But it's actually one of the most sexist, mysoginistic and disgusting show for all genders.

Literally every other show I know does feminism and girl power better than Miraculous.

Yeah, pretty much. It’s wild how much the writers are putting stake in Marinette and yet they’re incapable of writing her as winning. It’s just all about Adrien.

Aside from Adrien, who do you think are the characters worst treated by the writers of Miraculous?

Besides Adrien, I think Alya and Chloé got the rung. Everything about Alya that was her personal interests got completely ignored as of season 4 onwards. Like, Marinette is literally telling her what she’s allowed to tell her boyfriend and, as of season 6, we’re finally told about what she’s doing with the Ladyblog, and it’s running PR campaigns to make the Miraculers look cool.

Chloé, as of the original retool, is just as bad. She’s suddenly willingly playing second fiddle to Lila, when she discovered Lila was a lying liar who lies in season 3. She also got screwed over by working for Hawk Moth, but she’s back to that too.
