Concept of an AU that I remember on occasion where the sages (+Link, Paya, and Hestu) are corrupted virtues. Its part of that fic prompt I did called Shark in the Well.
Sidon represents Lust. He’s roughly 15 feet tall in this form but only 6'7 in his humanoid form. He grows strong attachments to people he loves (specifically Link in the AU) and gains strength from aiding them. He also has an ability to use solid surface like water, often diving in it to escape sight. He prefers lurking in cold dark waters though and is quite shy. Link is teaching him sign as he cant form words with his mouth as a beast. He’s very smart though and has a great memory. His humanoid form (Sidney) doesn’t remember his time as a beast though and can talk and express freely. Due to his loyalty for thoes he loves he’s eventually able to thwart Ganondorf’s influence. He’s also aware that Link’s flirting is just that, though he does hope for something more. Should he ever be released from the corruption, he’ll be closer to canon design.
Link represents Wrath. Unlike a good half of the virtues, Link (Paya and Hestu) have control over their corruption (excluding the blood moon) due to strict discipline and a slight presence of divine work. Their beast form gains six arms, discoloration of skin, and near white long hair. For some reason jewels often appear on them, though its likely just them showing off their control of malice, being able to make solid objects. They have a harder time controlling their bloodlust during wars and is thus often sent away during such. They are genderfluid but lean more towards she/them due to growing up as the Gerudo Chief’s daughter. Their relationship with Sidney is more curiosity than anything, though they do flirt with him for fun and to give certain advantages. Sidney (the man) is more annoying though, but they eventually warm to him. They are also close with Paya.

Then the next day you come home and find out your partner has a daughter from a previous relationship and the only reason he never mentioned her was b/c they were fighting.
Then the next day your long lost father kidnaps you to take you home to his original planet so you can live a bit longer but it’s without your consent and anything you say is met with being told you’re a kid and don’t know better when you’re a whole grown ass adult and you don’t even know this man.
And then you realize you all need therapy desperately. Like really fucking Bad.

I also thought that maybe she’d hop on board the V-Tuber train as soon as it showed traction to make some decent money. Link I was considering being a Tomb Raider (after watching season 2 of Tomb Raider) but then I realized archeology exists and is much more friendly. In modern settings I usually go with a personal detective, but I also like the archeology setting for Herc as well. I’m sure they dip into both every once in a while, but for this its largely Archeology (also helps explain the habit of collecting things).
Hilda would be a boxer, I think, and Zelda would hop around interests, but you’d often see him in drag. At first, I was thinking maybe he’d be a V-tuber too but then scrapped the idea instead giving it to SS’s Zelda (mostly b/c their v-tuber interactions would be funny). SS’s Zelda’s V-Tuber would be The Sun Goddess; Hylia and Ravio’s would be a copycat called The Twilight Goddess; Lolia. They’d look similar but also absolutely fucking not. Lolia would be much less successful until Hylia started doing guest stuff with her. Hylia does covers and original work while Lolia just sticks to covers and doesn’t do very many, though she has done voice acting for a few small games and animation projects.

I really needed a good anthro ref that doubles as a suit friendly ref to advertise with and I’ve been working on getting a partial made for this MF for the past two years! I’d have paws except my PC with the art I was paying with mc-died and I lost all that work and had to switch to Krista again on my sis’s PC. Wasn’t confident enough with it till the end of the year. Thankfully the person I’m working with is cool so I’ll get their stuff done sometime next year (cuz it’s only a few hours away).
The head base is in storage and I may have to get a new one depending on if the mice that found their way in decided to be nice for another year but I’m not holding my breath. Plus it’s several states away.
