I ordered the product and then left the country for a bit and moved so didn’t start using it. I got an email that my next shipment was coming and a $330 charge for a multiple month supply. I wrote and asked to cancel the shipment and refund the charge. It was done without any hassle and promptly. I’m excited to start using the product now.

I ordered three bottles of both serums in full faith that they would help my thinning hair issue. When I received them I opened one bottle just to take a peak and see what it looked like and how it smells. I found the scent to be overpowering in a negative way and it actually triggered a migraine. It smelled to me something like the perfume "poison", which may be attractive to some people. I immediately contacted the company explaining my situation and much to my surprise I received a very quick response and immediate refund. They did not ask me to return the product, which was another surprise.

I am truly appreciative of the very kind, positive and professional service I received! Camia, in Customer Support was able to resolve my inquiry in one email and had a genuine desire for a positive outcome. I was very hypersensitive to the fragrance of the product so unfortunately was not able to keep it. The company was kind enough to refund me right away with no issues. The whole experience was very positive and I would absolutely try the product in the future should they offer a fragrance free version.

I’ve been using your product for months now and I* LOVED* them. But with my most recent purchase I recieved of both the treatment and prevention serum in Feb of 2026 I was so discouraged to see you added what can only be explained as an extremely strong and overpowering perfume scent. One of the things I loved most about your product apart from the soothing, healing, and growth results was the fact that it didn’t smell like a perfume shop, it didn’t have an added perfume that irritated my scalp and gave me headaches or caused additional itching.
So yes, to say I was discouraged by this change is an understatement. I started to panic a bit quite frankly because kilgour had been a huge life saver in my hair loss journey. And now the scent is so over powering and irritating that I may have to begin searching for a new product.
I know I’m not the only one who feels this way, as in researching why and if there was a formula change…. I saw hundreds of complaints about the overpowering smell.
I understand a formula change was needed to help the ladies and men who had silver/grey hair who were having some miss coloration issues…. But I am however lost on why this formula change requires a perfume/fragrance to be added? I feel like to appease one group of your clientele you did so at the expense of the other half of your clientele and then added to boot something that is well known in the hair loss world as a no no- Fragrance!
As someone who is a loyal customer and would like to remain so, might I offer up a suggestion to the powers that be?
Couldn’t Kilgour give its customers options? Have the OG version unscented and not reformulated for the non silver/grey crowd, and then a second option let’s call it the silver fox option that is this new and current updated silver hair color friendly option!?
But please I beg of you, even if that can’t be done, and the new formula remains can you please offer a fragrance free option for the hundreds of people like me who have sensitivities and allergies to fragrances. One of the number one rules in hair loss I have found is that perfumes and fragrances can lead to irritation of the scalp which can and most often time does make hair loss worse. Which is why this change of added fragrance really just does not ring true to what your company claims its goals to be.
Please please please consider a fragrance free option if nothing else! I promise you that this three star rating will go right back up to five star rating as it has been for months now if your company comes through and actually hears us and our concerns. This is not even about a refund or the money in general. This is about the panic of not knowing what other product to use anymore that will actually help if I can’t use this one anymore. Please consider!

Great customer service.
I ordered the shampoo and conditioner. There was residue on the bottles, something had leaked. I just wanted to provide feedback and suggest sealing the bottles to prevent leakage. Replacements were immediately shipped.

Using this product made my hair change…
Using this product made my hair change color where it was applied. I went from snowy white to a brassy blond on the crown of my head and down my part. I tried getting it out with purple shampoo, then with white vinegar, both of which have worked for other brassy tones, but this coloring was just too intense.
Also, I notice a strange taste in my mouth shortly after using the serums. It lasts for a couple of hours. I could tolerate this, but not the change in hair color.

Dealing with customer support was amazing. They were very responsive and stand by their product. I had to request a refund because the product unfortunately, did not work for me. After 3 months, I saw no decrease in the shedding or regrowth. I found the product difficult to use. The droppers did not fill and dispense adequately so dosing was inaccurate and time consuming. It is impossible to treat the entire scalp but just small problem areas. The serum left my roots stiff and only looking.

Great customer service
I had a couple questions recently and their customer service team promptly responded which is something I really value in a company. It shows they stand behind their product 100%. Also, the products really work! It only took a couple weeks to notice significantly less shedding and now after a few months I have new growth at my temples!

The serums and shampoo/conditioner combos are working like magic! Today my hairdresser asked what I was doing to get this kind of regrowth response. I will continue to refer Kilgour products to all who ask! The shampoo and conditioner leave my hair silky soft. Customer service has been caring and thoughtful when I have had questions--all around 5 star greatness!

I had an allergic reaction to this product. I asked for a refund within the 30 day period. They said they could not process the refund because I had requested a refund through Shop on 1/8 and they had already credited me. They showed me screenshots of two credits for $43.66. I only paid $82.50 so I don’t know why they would “issue” me credits for more than I paid. I never requested this from Shop as I had just ordered on 1/6 so I had not even received the product yet. As instructed, I reached out to Shop and they said it is up to the vendors you buy from to credit you as the transaction goes directly through the company you buy it from and goes back to your original form of payment. Shop told me to get the ARN number of the credits so I could track where they went. I have been requesting this since 1/31 with no response. Not impressed at all by the customer service of this company.
