This is a cosmetic interaction, not permanent damage, and it’s one of the reasons we proactively updated our formulation to improve compatibility for lighter hair types. Unfortunately, once the interaction occurs, purple shampoos or home remedies don’t always fully reverse it right away, which we know can be very frustrating.

Regarding the taste sensation you noticed: some users are more sensitive to naturally derived active ingredients, and transient taste or smell sensations can occasionally occur due to proximity to the sinuses. While not harmful, we understand that it’s uncomfortable and worth noting.

When refunds are initiated through Shop Pay, they are processed and tracked directly within Shop’s system, not manually issued by our team. In your case, the screenshots you referenced reflect Shop-generated refund transactions, which is why the amounts appear as they do in their interface. We cannot generate ARNs for Shop-initiated refunds because those identifiers are controlled by Shop and the payment processor, not by the merchant.

This is also why our team advised contacting Shop directly — once a refund is triggered within their system, it is no longer something we can reroute, reissue, or track independently, even if the order was placed recently or the product had not yet been received. This isn’t a refusal to help, but a limitation of how Shop Pay manages payments and refunds on the backend.

That said, we understand how confusing this can be, especially when dealing with an allergic reaction, and we’re sorry for the added stress. Our customer service team acted based on the information and controls available to us and did not withhold a refund or ignore the request.

If you’re still seeing discrepancies on your statement, Shop Pay support is the only party that can trace where those credits were applied using their internal transaction records. We’re always happy to re-review the order details with you or explain the process again if helpful.

In many cases, the first sign of response is reduced shedding, with visible regrowth typically occurring closer to the 8–12 week mark as the hair cycle progresses.

While our formulas do not contain added synthetic perfume, some functional and naturally derived ingredients do have a noticeable aroma, which can be stronger for those who are scent-sensitive.
