Der Anbieter ist seriös. Das Geld wird ausgezahlt und der Support reagiert angemessen.
Allerdings gibt es dort quasi kein Geld mehr zu verdienen. Einladung sind selten. Bei jeder Abmeldung kämpft man sich mühsam durch den MFA und sieht dann, dass alle Plätze besetzt sind oder es von den Geräten nicht passt. Man kann Umfragen für Projekte ausfüllen aber auch da kommt nie was bei rum.
Das schlimmste, die Platform verlangt Aktivität um ein gutes Rating zu bekommen aber bietet kaum bezahlte Möglichkeiten an. Die meiste Zeit investiert man hier für unbezahlte Umfragen oder unbezahltes durchlesen von Einladungen wo es von vornherein nicht passt. Das macht die schlechte Bezahlung noch schlechter.
Meine Reports und Bugs gingen eigentlich immer durch. Deswegen würde ich die eigene Qualität als Ursache ausschließen.
Habe nach 10 Jahren meinen Account geschlossen.

I joined uTest hoping for legitimate opportunities. Instead, I found a platform that asks for real testing work during their practice test cycles, enforces rigid professional standards, and then hides behind the label of “practice” to avoid paying contributors.

I submitted a valid bug report during an unpaid cycle and was told to “dig deeper next time for more valuable bugs.” That tone is dismissive and inappropriate when the work is unpaid. It creates the expectation that testers should continuously deliver high-value output for free.
This way of working disproportionately benefits the platform while offering little respect or return for the tester’s time, particularly for experienced professionals.
I deleted my account and would caution others to think carefully before investing their time here.

This concept is "you qualify etc" apply. What people do not understand is when you apply and answer all those questions, you just did what they wanted you to do. They got paid for it. You don't get paid for applying. This is a scam

Seems promising at first but ends up being lacking in what is available and how tests are structured by clients.

Ordered 3 different Tests for peace of mind.

1 test worked very well no complaints at all, Test 2 extremely difficult to see the colours on the test and to compare with the results chart.

Test 3 did not work whatsoever despite following the instructions. Contacted customer service multiple times before I received a reply!

They arranged to send 1 test out for the faulty one and offered me 20% a future order.

Still awaiting delivery of the test after 3 weeks, disappointing to say the least, you would have hoped customer service would be first class with the circumstances we are dealing with

It's been over minimum of 2 months and still no support, no feedback just ignored since then towards need of help and support to reset my MFA authentication !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's a shameful "so-called" support and instead I GET MOCKED BY GETTINHG EMAILS ABOUT NEW TEST OPPORTUNITIES!!!!Directing to support is also mocking and making fun of someone !!!! Directing to FAQ and asking for client ID when contacting support is also making fun ,noone memorizes an ID much less thinking they'll be locked out of the account without any support!!!!

Es la mejor comunidad de Testing Freelance que existe, tienen clientes globalmente conocidos y muy importantes que por confidencialidad no puedo revelar ya que firme un NDA con ellos, te dan trabajo constante cuando llegas a nivel oro o plata, he llegado a tener hasta 10 proyectos al tiempo, excelente equipo de trabajo en cada ciclo, aunque a veces me he encontrado con TTL y TE arrogantes que menosprecian el esfuerzo y te niegan hasta el saludo pero creo que a veces es porque culturalmente no se acostumbra a ser tan cortes en otros países diferentes al mío, pero dialogando todo se soluciona, la remuneración ha venido bajando de calidad con el paso de los años y algunos clientes importantes con los que trabaje al parecer se han ido, me fascina trabajar con Utest y les agradezco porque he aprendido mucho de gente más joven y los ingresos económicos en general para mi han sido los mejores.

I joined 2015 and it was great. It all had some kind of startup energy. People tried to onboard you and help you out. It felt like a real community and even courses for test automation were offered. The payment and the testing opportunities were good. 10 years it’s not so great anymore. A lot of gambling, Crypto and trading tests are offered. Something I would never touch. Further, 95% of offered test cycles are poorly paid ones. Why should I even start, if I earn double of that at my day job? Test automation seems to be gone. Regularly I get test, that results in not doable, because I got invited without fulfilling the preconditions. This is then not even mentioned in the Test Cycle description. These descriptions are poorly written every second cycle. Not fun working with these. I really recommend to work on utest only to get an inside of testing, otherwise stay off. The market seems to die slowly.

Joined 4 years ago and the company was really good until recent project after several hours of testing and submitted my test results they put test cases as conditional without any feedback or warnig that tells you in what specific areas you need to improve.

Due to this, I am out of that project - I do not think that this was the operational model of utest but this is something that does not fit at all utest culture.

I will look for other companies that will have better culture than this one.

I did a test for them I didn't get paid! after numerous attempts to reach out to them by email and going to the test site. Nothing yet! I don't know how to get my money!
I've done tests in the past, They gave gift cards which you can't cash out or use everywhere. It was a huge hassle!!

I joined Utest in 2024, when I had little to no other income and it really helped out. I was able to contribute to tests and learn the basics of what software testing is. I have been invited to a lot of test, some paid out as soon as the test were complete, but others were large projects so they didn't pay until a few months later. Be active and participate as much as possible especially if you are looking for work, you could use this as a resume gap filler too.

I spent 3 hours testing their product . Over a month later I still have not been paid . I feel very ripped off . No way of contacting anyone about the issue.
If you want to work for free go ahead but if you expect to be paid be very carefull before committing.

After spending three months on uTest platform with just 1 test responding (even that was from their own B Team applause), I can say that the platform is dead with hardly any tests to perform.
You will get notifications for other tests but they are mainly to mine data under different pretexts or designs from them.
Also, you can't be sure of any payment even if you do what was required. E.g. If you are looking for bugs in an app, you are supposed to not just find bugs but also to check that no one else have shared the same bug before you. So, you can waste hours to check an app with no reward.

uTest is very special for me. I have learned so many things during the Testing and got variety of experience starts from Finding the Bugs, Platform testing, web testing, Usability Testing and Robotic Testing, Performance Testing

Great experience and give valuable rewards

I was able to make quite a bundle of cash while having fun at home on my own computer.
