In the first game, Palmier is canonically gay, so if you choose the female presentation I believe you start at pink instead of red. The inverse goes for Ivar where if you are male, the flower is black, but if you choose female, the flower is white.

I think it just means you have to work a little harder to earn the full extent of his favor! Even tho he was labeled as gay in the first game sexualities can change overtime! Alternatively, the player might just be an exception for him. He's a massive flirt regardless of gender anyhow, I personally think Palmier just has a preference for males.
I think the implication is that he's bisexual with a preference for men. He is attracted to women, but it happens less frequently. Same way Ivar is also bisexual but prefers women (partly because of his curse and also personal taste). Lyall in the first game also had a preference for women (specifically older women), and Quill had a preference for men. I think Thane and Arshem were the only truly neutral bisexuals in the cast, and with Arshem I think he was just Palmier-sexual lol.
yeah, i thought that too! i just commented bc of the way they worded that: "he is more gay than bi", cause well, even if he still likes women much less, he is not "gay", just a bisexual with strong preferences for men
