I'm so glad you liked it! I'm currently looking in to the possibilities of a full version so lots more level could be coming in the future.
Thank you for playing. 😊
Thank you for the detailed comment and posting it on social media!
As for the two minor issues you had, I agree that they could both be worked on in the future if I make a full version. For the first problem, maybe I could have a little trash can appear in the corner of the screen when the player is holding a block to erase it. I believe I've seen something similar in other building games before.
The music was kind of a last minute thing, I was originally going to make my own but didn't have time. I was looking through a bunch or music I had licenses to and could only find cinematic, calm, or chiptune music. I chose the calm music as I thought it fit best, but I would probably make it more cartoony if I did a full version.
Thanks again for playing, I'm really glad you liked the game. 😄
Always love a good Monkey Ball style game. I sadly couldn't get past level 7, but the levels I played were all really well made. I did kind of wish the game had the presenter saying "Ready? GO!" like in Monkey Ball when the each level started. 😁
The only bug I could find was the music didn't loop so it went pretty quiet when it finished. I really enjoyed the game though and could see it being developed into a full game with multiple course.
WOW! I love the idea of balancing the game for the player. What an absolute amazing use of the theme!
I love pretty much everything about this game from the art to the music, and Lilmonster was a great playtester.
The only issue I had was that the last game (match 3) was a little hard to balance as it was completely randomized. Sometimes Lilmonster would beat the game on his first move, other times he wouldn't be able to beat it even with a big advantage.
Overall though, this game is one of my favorites of this jam. Bravo! 🎉
Thank you so much for your kindness!
I am currently working on making a full version. I'm aiming for 50 levels or so, but I'm unsure when it will be done (hopefully within the next year).
Thanks again. Also, I really like your Yoshi avatar. 🙃
P.S. If you have any ideas for the game (levels, fixes, etc) feel free to let me know.
The music and art of this game are amazing and I love how they work together. I wasn't really sure what to do at first, but after reading the description on the itch page I figured it out. I had a few graphical issues, but nothing major. I also really like how you incorporated the theme.
A beautiful, chill, and engaging game!
You can erase individual blocks by holding the right mouse button in edit mode when nothing is selected. I didn't have time to make a tutorial so the controls are in the description below on the Itch page for the game.
Hope you still enjoyed the game regardless, and I'm glad you found it well-designed. 🙂
This is a nice reign style game. I like the simplicity of it and the music fits really well.
The only problem I saw was that some of the text (mostly in the intro) was hard to read as the background was a very similar color.
Overall, a fun little game that captures the theme very well. Very well done!
I'm glad you liked my game. I am planning on maybe making a full version as this is by far the best feedback I've ever gotten on a game jam (and I also really enjoy the game). A level editor is a good idea, I'll have to look into that.
I didn't want to limit the blocks as I wanted to give full control to the player to build whatever they want no matter the size, that's why I put bonus stars for beating the levels with a certain number of blocks.
Thanks you for playing my game! 😀
Very nice game. It reminds me a lot of a minigame in Wii Fit U called Dessert Course just with a fantasy twist.
The two biggest problems I had with this game was the lighting as some areas were really dark, and the interactions as it didn't always work unless I was standing in a particular spot.
Overall, it's a really fun game with just a few minor issues, but I'm extremely impressed at what you guys managed to make in around 2 weeks.
I was able to beat the first few levels with the help of the hints, but the game is still super hard. I think if the sensitivity or movement speed was lowered it would make it a bit easier. I also agree a grace period would help tremendously.
It's a good concept though, and I like the audio and sound effects that give off a café vibe.
Ah yes, working at a Burger King serving burgers until the Pizza Hut employees show up and I have to take care of them. Just another normal day. 😆
All jokes aside, this is a pretty fun game and I'm impressed that you guys made so much in the 2 week period. I especially like the bitcrushed voices which reminds me of older games like the original Mortal Kombat (FINISH HIM!).
Amazing work! 🍔
To say this game has such a simple concept, It's REALLY fun!
I hope you continue working on this game as it has so much potential for more. Such as multiple enemies, different books with different abilities, unique dice, the list goes on.
Everything about this game is really well made and polished and it is definitely one of my favorite games of this jam (so far). Bravo! 🎉
