This happened to me too, I think it's caused by a battle encounter activating the same time you enter a loading zone (door/staircase in tower) so the game is storing enemies for a chain battle that can't start. The way I fixed it was going back to an old save before the glitch started happening

In the newest public build my character is locked looking left unless I'm using the targeting/look mechanic. It persisted even after multiple game restarts and respawns. I'm putting this here since I don't know where else to post this. Love the game though.
