I got waaaaay to into playing this, thought I'd only played a few minutes and saved. When I went to reload I saw I already played 50 minutes lmao. Awesome sprite work, and the music had cool Celeste and Unpacking vibes. Great work!

Really neat tactics game, I like how the Skremplet order can affect the others in the party, enjoyed managing that. The tug of war system is pretty cool, I liked collecting the cards to buff each party. It was cool that on Grymmt's island the trash collecting changes to racing Grymmt to collect the most apples. Cute sprites, and I love every time Giant Foozloo would tell Boyhowdy to shoo lol
Great gameplay! I love how everything you can do you in the game, you already have but just need the knowledge, very into that kind of game design. Some fiendishly tough rooms to tackle for the optional content, and very satisfying accomplishing the motions to complete it. I felt so bad about Boyhowdy lol.
Very imaginative and fun puzzles! I like how each Skremplet has different art styles for their dreams, and the way objects interact between dreams was so fun to play with. Really good pacing for a short Metroidvania-esque game, the music set the vibes perfectly each dream. Loved the scare of going into Giant Foozloo's dream for the first time!
Always interesting trying to solve these games. I love the walk cycle of the Skremplet we control, and the Giant Foozloo looks so cool. I managed to find Zugtug, and some trash around, maybe they need to go into the numbered holes in a certain order? AFB your games are so fascinating, and Blep's music is the perfect companion to exploring and trying to figure out these mysteries.
Had an absolute blast with this one! I love how things escalate so quickly, it really gets you into the mood for chaos right away. The voice acting and writing made me laugh the whole time, really funny scenarios and my fav unaddressed elephant. I played twice because first time I broke things too quickly and missed the paths that went up, glad I did because I somehow also missed the car scene in the street ~
Really enjoy your take on the Game Jam characters each time, it's nice to hear the music and voice acting as they're really good. I absolutely love Boyhowdy's lines, like a board game based on a kid's show come to life. I read through the rulebook and the gameplay looks pretty interesting, also chuckled at the unaddressed elephant XD
Really love the way you do PS1 style games, the CRT filter feels so authentic. A platformer with an air dash is one of my fav genres, getting to zip around felt really liberating with the level layouts. The effect to let you know when a Skremplet is around was very cool, and I enjoyed the story a lot, especially Gretchen's part about saving the planet lol. The music perfectly complimented the vibes, stellar game!
Interesting narrative with a fun twist, I never thought my graphics card would become part of a video game like that lol. The characterisations were so fun, I was routing for Pastoriche the whole time and the end really hit me. It was fun exploring beyond the tents and seeing the edges of the world, and that perspective shift really wow'd me. Loved how the final bossfight worked; a very creative project so many neat games, incredible you got that many done!
Heck yeah, actual tank controls! Reminds me of playing Virtual On in the arcades ~ I really like how the movement felt, the pace of enemy spawns felt really good for keeping up the tension. Took a few goes to get used to the flow of where to go and when to use the AoE; I rarely used the shooting in the end unless there was a purple enemy right in my way, felt really cool to just drift around my enemies and AoE at the last second if things looked rough. Super fun game!
Very clever and well executed concept! The presentation and music perfectly nails a Dreamcast vibe, and the characters designs are so fun. I liked how the lore makes you wonder about what the previous section and cutscenes could have been about, felt like stumbling on to a forgotten RPG of the era on someone's save data. Combat system was pretty cool too!
Everything, from the artwork and music, to the writing and gameplay, incredibly polished work that I thoroughly enjoyed. I liked how varied and challenging all the minigames were, finding DSD was really funny, and the references throughout had me grinning ear to ear. The presentation and multiple minigames reminded me of some 90s edutainment games which felt very fitting ~
Lemme put this in the waste_ NOOOOO lmfao. Clever design throughout, how the waste message is presented, and how dupe cards are used. The card art is incredible, some of the alts go so hard. My fav thing is just spinning cards before clicking them away, something really satisfying just seeing a card spin off like that.
Cool game, the lore and music gives the whole world a mysterious vibe and I love how the broken sky skybox looks. I like how the solar game board is used to arrange the Skremplets, and the way Skremplets are used are interesting as I didn't pick up the shooting one until last, so most of my battles were using the DoT field which made the confrontations feels quite unique. The name reveal of the big boss you could see the whole game was fun, had a great time with this one.
Really fun adventure! I like all the little touches like the screen shake inside the bus, or when you highlight DSD's sweater. Really liked the Skremplet designs and animations, together with the writing and music it feels like playing a 90's cartoon game, like the Nickelodeon ones, you nailed it at making the Skremplets feel really alive as characters. Always interesting seeing the differences in our GB Studio projects, I love the mix of platformer and point-and-click style in your games!
I thoroughly enjoyed spamming my spin emotes in chat when I first saw Kyle play this game! Now I've had a go myself, the chaotic nature of the battles is really fun; it reminds me of the feeling of playing the Pocket Car Racer minigames in the Yakuza series. The artwork and voice acting are absolutely stellar, and the "overworld" music gave me kinda Chrono Trigger vibes. Great final act, holy moly that image of Boyhowdy will stick with me! Really enjoyed my time with this one!
As someone who has never Farkled or Yahtzeed, all I can say is I had way too much fun lol. The mix of real world elements and stuff like the Pastoriche graffiti or mountains of trash bags evoked a lot of feelings of 90s adventure gaming which I appreciate a lot. The FMVs were too funny, I love the design of Orchk so much, and the depiction of Boyhowdy had me cracking up. The deck builder element was a great surprise, I went heavy hit for most of the game and it felt so satisfying getting the right dice.
Thank you for the kind words! mylosan_ loved hearing that when I told him your comment over discord lol. The card art stuff was kind of a happy accident, I wanted "talking time" screens so we had a reason for both the overworld sprites and the bigger sprites, then when I put a frame on it I was like "wait this could be a card screen, why didn't I think of that before" LUL
Great 2D game, the platforming felt good and I like the animations for the sword swing and connecting, makes Kat feel very powerful! The charged slash is very satisfying to use where there are a lot of enemies dropping in. The story was great, loved the buildup to the Bowhowdy reveal. Need to replay it, I got 34/37 coins I must have them all!
Noddle and Noodles, a dream team ~ Had a lot of fun with this game. Loved the documentary presentation style, and the Asteroid's-esque shooting combined with the different Skremplet powers makes for chaotic and fun shootouts. Shedding a Goblic Endowment was a bit different to what I had imagined, lol! Top notch sound effects for those parts.
Heck yeah I love a classic JRPG. Really neat being able to choose your starting character as well as your party members. Enjoyed the quest design, the side quests to recruit party members is good stuff, the sprite work is excellent. Really enjoyed seeing all the community Skremplets too.
Done one playthru with a Grymmt, Pastoriche, Foozloo and Zugtug team, I need to replay again at some point now I know that I feel like I missed a quest, seeing that DSD sprite in the credits!
Really fun card game! I've done a run with Grymmt, Gretchen and Orchk so far, tried a run with Pastoriche but got walloped lol. Really like everyone has different powers, and seeing a lot of old references in the card shop was really cool. Sholie is my MVP, like how the card art changes after the first hit. Really wanted to get that Enormous Body card, but every time either I have no money, or it doesn't show up in the shop when I do have money lmao
Absolutely phenomenal, your art complimented by Lam's music is the perfect vibe for such a frantic and fast puzzle game. Great pacing and escalation of mechanics, the dual Tetris screens were incredibly satisfying to play. I love how you're able to make such unique and addicting gameplay loops every year, always a pleasure to play your games!
Feels perfectly like something from the era, the 3D models and dithering make this feel like its sits right beside Myst and The Journeyman Project. Being able to move the camera just blew my mind, and the atmosphere of this game is unparalleled, more than once I felt the tension of danger despite none being there. Great soundscape, and the intrigue of the story paid off nicely, excellent game!
Really like how you've utilised Glerry's design. The mechanic of using water, then sucking it back up is really fun. The movement is great, I noticed holding 1 made Glerry into basically a jetpack, combined with the gliding it made moving around the maps really fun. The twist was incredible, seeing it all change in realtime was amazing, and that roar! Genuinely terrifying, loved every moment of this game.
