I thoroughly enjoyed this. I played it twice to get both endings. Really well executed, and delightfully atmospheric. Bravo

lovely game! I ran into a bug coming down the ladder at the beginning of the game before I could jump where I got stuck in the ground. Just an FYI incase you’re still  bug squashing.

I am not able to locate the surprise theme on the jam landing page. Was it announced somewhere else?

Nicely done.

A+++ execution and delivery. This was outstanding! I absolutely adored every moment of this game. I LOVE the progression from manual management of the field to a robust auto-populating dandelion field of magic.

Really, everything about this was just :chef-kiss:

Bravo!

p.s.: I love that we both came up with the same concept yet had really different implementations and executions. Clearly, your approach was masterful :)

The artwork and style were really nicely done. I read through your page (thanks for the instructions) but couldn't figure out what the flowers and dishes did -- so I was unable to figure out how to move past the first room. Regardless, I spent a good few minutes just enjoying flying around and experiencing the world. This was really nicely put together in such a short time!

A few thoughts for your consideration:

  1. The camera follow distance is so close that I found it difficult to orient myself in the room/world. Perhaps allowing some sort of zoom out or follow-distance option would be helpful if you were to revisit this game in the future.
  2. More obvious hints or game interactions would be useful in solving the puzzle(s) -- or perhaps amplifying indications that a puzzle can be solved to move forward in the game would be beneficial.
  3. The mouse controlling camera and vector was challenging for me, but I'm on a laptop so maybe that's less of an issue for a mouse user.

Cheers!

I really enjoyed the music and the vibes! This was delightful.

A few thoughts:

  1. Having the hues change every 2 hours forced me to wait a few extra seconds, preventing me from accidentally spamming the ground with flowers that were all the same color. This was a cool design choice and I like it :)
  2. I wasn’t sure what the pattern numbers meant or what I was supposed to do with them. That being said, I still enjoyed growing a field of colorful, beautifully drawn flowers.
  3. After a few days the hint text about having him come to you stayed on the screen over top of the field. I’m betting this wasn’t intentional — would be a nice quick fix if you did revisit the code after the jam.

Well done! You nailed the cozy spring jam vibe!

This design document is OUTSTANDING. I would LOVE to play this game. Bravo

Thoroughly enjoyed this; happily paid for the game. Well done and quite the pico-8  “Foddian inspired” delight.
