I played this game many months ago and I was very confused by the art style change lmao. Anyway, amazing game I listen to the soundtrack every single day

This is definitely one of the best games out there! I really loved it but could someone please help me understand the ending (spoilers for ending 0) 

Hiker said he couldn't roll back anymore but he used his power curing the Driving, making sure he would live, so did he die as a result of it? Or is he still alive just badly injured? Thank you very much.
