yippie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wahoo!!!!!!!!!!

I'm going to play the game later tonight and have already linked it to friends who are equally excited, I hope you get a lot more eyes on the project from now on :D

I found out about this game through the youtuber Cute Games Club!

i love ydris. cool game

i like the game! it has a nintendo-ish vibe and feels relaxing. i like paleonthology so to me it's a fun subject. i think overall the game feels like it has potential and just needs polishing.

constructive criticism:

  • i wasn't sure if the game saved or not until i reopened it after quitting. an accessible menu for saving and quitting would be nice.
  • there were some mistakes or oddities in the dialogue writing, i'd recommend getting help from someone else to improve it.
  • i was confused at first about which objects were rocks and if it was safe to break them or not, maybe the tutorial digs in the museum garden could have a bit more instructions about the rocks (unless there was info about it and i forgot).

i love the look of the game. there were some confusing moments where i couldn't see enough to be sure what to do (especially when the blizzard hit - though it seemed to blow mostly on my left side and not straight onto me - and when i was near the cave, it took a while to actually see it), but aside from that i really liked it.

nice little game! i enjoyed it :)
