Depiction of Pleasure is an ASTOUNDING work of art, and I absolutely adored playing through. Beautifully written, it's simultaneously charming, painful, and hilarious, and I'm going to be thinking over it for a long time. The characters were so wonderfully fleshed out, and the actual CGs and sprites are so gorgeous and expertly used! A superb work.

A fantastic VN, Since November deftly depicts a startling, uncertain future. The characters are fascinating, and the scenarios that play out are well-written. The art and music absolutely elevate the experience, the amount of CGs is astounding and they're all gorgeous and evocative.
We read this on the FurryVN Discord, and whilst everyone was instantly drawn to Red Flags The Person, and I related most to the Val storyline, my favourite character was Edgar by far. His arc will stick with me a long time. (Also I adore pigeons and they are so rarely depicted!)
Thank you so much for your review, I'm really glad you enjoyed it! This was a huge learning experience for me, my first project in Ren'py, so I will totally take your feedback regarding the pauses on board.
I am planning on releasing a small patch in January with typo corrections and some other minor edits, but no big changes like the voice track, though I completely agree that it would work really well and is a great idea. I am instead focusing on planning new projects for the future, so I will keep this in mind for my next works, and hope you'll enjoy them too!
Heavy Is Our Crown is a beautiful, heart-rending tale that I was enraptured by. The presentation is gorgeous, the parallax effects, the mirror transitions, they were all wonderfully implemented and realised, and the music and sound effects were lovely. But the story is the real star here, depicting two realistic characters in a conversation over time that broke my heart. A fantastic visual novel in it's own right, not just as a game jam entry, the team should be very proud of it.
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I do agree with your criticism, I do need to do another pass on typos and I believe character names; and yes, in original plans Lee had a much bigger role (even deciding whether to go by Lee, Theo's nickname, or Ray, from Carter, was important, in the end I just removed that and the keychain had both names). The game jam limitation was a factor in cutting this, but also just the fact that Carter was already pretty awful here and having him react negatively to his sister's trans storyline would have made him irredeemable I think.
If ever I was to write a sequel it would be about Lee and what was going on there, but that also feels like less my story to tell as a cis guy, so I'd want a collaborator for that to do it justice; perhaps Christmas the following year, when Lee is facing that dysphoria of not shedding with the men again.
That update would be cool to see! I did get part way to a solution for the safe (I dunno how to hide spoilers so SPOILER WARNING IF ANYONE ELSE READS THIS) tying the stars seen at certain points in the game to the moon type with them and presumably the number of stars each time is a number in the combination; I think having to try and go back and find all ten, if that was what was intended, just felt a little daunting, plus I wasn't sure how I would order them when I started finding multiples of the same moon type with different stars. Unless I misinterpreted the puzzle entirely. So it feels like I missed one key point somewhere? But I also feel like I got really close to the ending so definitely interested in a future update that helps me see it!
The art style is so interesting and works with what you're going for! I really liked Snow's voice, her talk about the journey they could take through the stars was lovely. The eerie scene after they retire to the tent was very cool too. I also like the way it blends into reality with the dev log that's posted, and the central mystery of where they end up was a nice starting point. The music did a good job setting the tone! I liked the beeps effect for their voices too.
This was a lovely story, and one that used the 'deer' theme of the game jam to tell a very interesting story about gender and acceptance. The characters were very endearing! I played the Alex ending and am happy with that ending, but it appears this game has two paths to try out too for those curious!
Ventral was a VN that kept taking me by surprise. The interview process, the resulting changes, the setup, it was all a lovely start to a story. I loved the CGs and sprites, they were very expressive- the image of all of them stood in an elevator together was really good!- and the music and sound design was superb. It also felt to me like a story about being in a game jam, which was a fun touch! I'm looking forwards to seeing more of this as it releases.
What a fascinating glimpse into this world! It feels very familiar of course, you did a fantastic job with the theme of this. I thought the initial art style was adorable, and seeing how you played with art style to tell the story was very impressive. You should be really proud of this one! The final CG and the ending dialogue really hit me hard, and worked beautifully.
I enjoyed this very much! It kept subverting my expectations- witches in cars, using computers, and never quite being sure who was friend or foe; and the character designs were fascinating. The UI stuff you did was incredibly impressive too, you should be very proud. There was quite a dreamlike feeling to this, which I very much vibed with.
I had a real blast playing this game! You really captured that spirit of old adventure games, and the art style really worked for it. There was some very potent tension here too! Unfortunately I was as bad at this as I was all other old adventure games, and couldn't solve the safe puzzle, but I had a lot of fun fiddling around with it and finding clues. I'll leave this to smarter individuals to solve fully!
