I played the demo yesterday, and man, I envy this game so much. It’s one of those experiences I wish I had made myself. It’s full of personality, with clear inspirations, but it never feels like it’s trying to copy anything. There’s a magic in your game that I really love. It has that quality where the game’s structure kind of disappears, and moments that should feel scripted end up feeling almost like they weren’t planned at all.

You’re totally on the right path to making a cult classic like Off, Omori, and those other delightful gems. Keep up the good work, I wish you all the best. I’ll do my best to spread the Gobble word. Thanks for making it!

Hey Henkehedstrom, sorry for the late reply! We just uploaded a version more akin to what we envision for the jam. The Game Jam balance was very off, sorry about that Feel free to check out this new version, and thanks for dropping a comment!

Hey Mimi! That was my fault actually. The balance wasn't supposed to be that hard when we uploaded. But we just finished a version that is more akin to what we envision for the jam (we got too greedy with the scope this year haha). About the tutorial, completely agreed, we added it in the last day, just to avoid adding explanation on the game's description. For a full fleshed game, I would do as you suggested, for sure!

Thanks for dropping a comment and sorry for the late reply!

Hey Koi! We are excited to try to craft a full fleshed roguelike in the future! We just wrap this one up and called it a day. If you want to check out a version more akin to what we envision for this jam, we just uploaded! Thanks for dropping a comment and sorry for the late reply!

Thanks a lot for dropping a comment! Sorry for the late reply. If you enjoyed the game, we just uploaded a version that is working more like what we envision for the jam!

Hey, thanks a lot for your kind words, and sorry for the late reply. We worked on a more stable version and just upload it, if you are interested in it!

Sorry for the previous state of the game, we got too greedy with the scope haha

Hey, everything should be working now! This is kind of a hard game to make sure there's no bug, and a classic game jam spaghetti code doesn't help too. But we did our best to get a better version to wrap it up and call it a day, hope you enjoy it!

Hey Edove! We were limited by the Game Jam's time, but we did a small update adding a few extra features that we originally planned. Getting money for leftover turns is one of them, you can check it out now!

Excellent game, simple but with a smart level design, congratulations on doing that! Unfortunately, the police got me, poor frog.

Excellent game as always from Jamadoo! The polish is, as usual, spot‑on, but the game design is shining more than ever. I loved the take on the theme and how each loop has a sense of permanence, making you think not only about the micro decisions (avoiding stuff, picking up collectibles) but also the macro, crafting a good route to avoid making things harder for yourself on the next lap.

One thing I initially thought, but turned out not to be the case: I assumed that “painting” the ground gave me more score, so from one loop to the next I’d need to take different routes and optimize the painting to score better (making it harder and harder as the clean tiles became rarer). But if I understood correctly, the dirt is only showing the last route and which route will disappear, right?

Excellent take on the theme! It feels similar to Stacklands, but much simpler and more tactile, which I appreciate! I loved how the time pressure works and how everything connects together. The art is, of course, absurdly spectacular, amazing work, everyone! Congratulations on the submission!

HAHA, I hope we have Towerbag full edition by that time. That being said, and totally making a marketing move, we are almost releasing another tower defense called "Islet Defense", in case you are interested in checking out haha

Extremely well-made pack! Super easy to use, and the art and animations are absolutely gorgeous. Really hope to see more from this artist!

No worries, mine was worse haha

Thanks for dropping a comment MadMilligan!

Thanks a lot for dropping a comment! The chick was just for your amusement

Thank youuuuu <3

Hey Anna! Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it!

Towerbag was made in just 48 hours for a game jam, so it's definitely rough around the edges. The reason for having only one turret was actually tied to the jam’s theme, which was literally "only one," so we ran with the idea of a Tower Defense with a single tower.

We’d love to revisit and improve it at some point, but right now, we’re focused on other projects. If you’re interested in something more polished, check out our latest game, Islets Defense! There’s a demo available on both Itch and Steam, and you can find the link on this same page.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts!

Hey Floof Audio! Glad that you enjoyed it! Means the world to us!

And yes, I wish to eventually make a longer version of Towerbag! You can follow me on social media to get any news about this! Also, we are crafting a new Tower Defense game, completely different than TowerBag, but might catch your attention! It's called Islets Defense, and it's Demo is available both here on Itch and Steam!

Hey KillerPokeGames,

I’m sorry the game didn’t resonate with you. It was made in just 48 hours during a game jam, so it does lack polish. Thanks for your comment, and I hope you enjoy some of my other games!

Thanks a lot Jeteroni!
