Thanks for the clarification. That seems like a really good system.

I think I just didn't grasp the mechanics of the yellow cards while playing. I think this game has the potential of be extremely good since it's such a simple yet effective mechanic.I also didn't know where I could see the top card when using the little angel figure. But I like the variety of the item's and they seem all very useful.

The game feels really polished with great potential. The art is charming and it conveys a very nice atmosphere. What I couldn't figure out however, even after beating the game, is if the yellow cards did anything at all. Is there ever a reason to not place the cards on the opponents mat? there seems to be no drawback to doing so (or maybe I encountered some kind of bug). Also, the peek-items didn't seem to do anything either (but double damage and make opponent skip turn are great). Anyway, I see great potential in this game, simple yet engaging. Well done!

Very nice and polished gaming experience. Short but fulfilling. The feedback and knock backs feel good and it gives off a great retro vibe. Good job!

Brilliant idea that fits the theme perfectly. Well executed as well. I found my self far to greedy, which is fun in a game like this. Really well done.

This gambling addict simulator fits the theme extremely well. As you can spend time to improve both gain per turn, chance of winning and win multiplier there is surprisingly much depth for such a simple game. Also, the visuals are consistent and the game is fun. I found myself looking for clues on exactly how much I could influence the chance by my choices but maybe it is best unknown. It's up to chance anyway and if you don't risk everything, you might not win enough to beat the bosses.

(Beat the game in 125 days)

Really cool visuals but couldn't really figure out how to play. I think it has a lot of potential though.

Charmingly animated character and fast paced game play. I didn't really get what the shooting part did as it didn't seem to do anything except slow me down while using it. After a while, I got stuck in some state where I wouldn't fall anymore but would keep running through the air.

This seems to be the start of a cool game. Unfinished, as I only seemed to have cats in my deck and the first fight doesn't appear to be beatable but if developed further could become something really fun. I wish you good luck with it if you decide to continue developing it.

A cute game with good visuals, especially the UI/Menus. The Opossum is charming and I like how you made "play dead" into a useful gameplay mechanic.

I think I ran into a bug though where the people would ignore me and shout "ew! it is dead!" when I ran past, snatching all their cookies without them trying to stop me.

The art is very good and the music sets an eerie mood for the entire game. I found navigating difficult though and couldn't really get a grip on how to move around. Faced one enemy that I barely beat and I would really like to delve deeper into this dungeon if I wasn't hindered by the movement. Really cool that it was made by a single developer.

I really like the concept of you having a choice of adding to the round's difficulty in return for more rewards. It fits the theme very well! Since the towers were free, what is the gold used for?

I really liked the mechanic that you didn't instantly lose lives when the ants reached your picnic basket but instead had to chase them down and reclaim the cookies. Got stuck at wave 5 when no more ants would spawn and the game wouldn't proceed to wave 6. Is there anything else to do with the coins after the initial 4 towers are built?

Cute dino! I had some issues where a large part of the play area was not visible on the screen. The mechanics seemed interesting though.

Cool little Tower Defense game! I would've loved some more info/feedback on what the different towers do as I mostly made the most expensive ones after a while (as there was a delay between building and money was abundant).

Well done!

Really nice game! A polished gaming experience. I barely beat the boss with a sliver of health left.

At first the "throw away your weapon at the enemies" felt a bit counter-intutitive but you get used to it soon and it feels like an action movie. Also, the roguelite- progression system fits very well and adds to the experience. Really good job!

Quite interesting idle clicker game that also feels a bit like a tribute to the original cookie clicker game. The staff's role being starting baking processes and selling the cookies is an interesting and successful choice instead of just having them bake on their own. The R&D being random success but also necessary to proceed makes for some good risk-taking.

Overall a cool game!

Quite fun game!

The upgrade system forcing you to always take a debuff is very interesting  but all to often I was wishing I could take none of them. The shooters are the enemies to look out for as they can not be kited in the same way as the melee enemies.

The music gets repetitive fast but otherwise works well to reinforce the somewhat stressful atmosphere of the game.

A very fast paced game that gets increasingly surreal and weird.

The mini games, while simple on their own, are varied and makes for a fun gaming session overall.

I only got to about 700 on my run so I don't know exactly what the deal is with the guy getting overlaid on top of the screen but it definitely makes the game more stressful the longer you play. You are always out of time and need to think on your feet.

Well made for pulling all the mini games off in such a cohesive manner.

This is totally awesome. Very relaxing, very nice take on the theme.

A good TD!

One aspect I really liked (though it eventually made me lose the game) is that certain enemies are fast enough to outrun the slow missiles that until then had been the backbone of my defense.

While only 4 tower types, this feels like a complete TD experience with upgrades and a quite nicely balanced progression curve. The only thing I was missing was some kind of explanation of what the upgrades do.

Very well done!

A really impressive game that I had a blast playing! And to think this is a  game jam project!

The game offers a complete arcade experience with upgrades, resource collection, a story (that is somewhat annoying to click through as you just want to get on with the next level) and many increasingly challenging levels.
The somewhat unintuitive controls works well with the premise of the game (zero control) and get easier over time and the automatically rotating and firing turrent is a fun idea that works well for the gameplay.

Really great job on this one!

Really cool game! The visuals are consistently stylish and fitting throughout the game. Interesting and innovative gameplay with a strong message. After making the label for the beer can the game wouldn't let me proceed to the next level, is that the end or did I encounter a bug/misunderstand something?
One thing I would've liked is a preview of the "slots" where I was about to drop a label. There were many times when I thought that I put a label in a valid position, only to have it be thrown back to the printer.

Overall a very good job. I think this game could be really successful.

Unique and cool game! The pixel art-3d works well and the combination of groundhog day with a more serious theme of falling apart in a relationship makes for a cool and complete bite sized gaming experience. Very well done!

Charming illustrations. The idea of leaving a trail to get out of a maze works well as a "food" mechanic usually found in roguelikes. I found the exit after finding only the sword, did I miss out?

Great atmosphere and art. The eerie background sounds add to the experience. The player movement takes some time to figure out but is an interesting challenge. It wouldn't hurt to make interactable objects more visibly distinguishable. Overall a fun and cool game. Great work, especially for a jam!

Really cool game. Looks simple at first but the excellent gameplay, responsive interface, charming art & music as well as complete story with increasingly difficult (but not to difficult) puzzles makes this one of the best games I've seen so far this jam. Great work!

Fun idea of making a game of ordinary life. Charming graphics. The gameplay is not very obvious, can I do something to avoid being attacked by the things I pass? I would like to see where you would take this given more time.

We hope you will have a wonderful evening party.

Very fun game with consistent and charming art. Well done and congrats to the win!

Great comic book intro! Also, this is an excellent way to comment on what seems to be an important democracy issue in the US. The gameplay fits well into the theme and is also a fun puzzle game on it's own.

Nice take on the theme as getting to many of the collectibles could lead to not being able to finish a level without restarting. Good level design (that got much harder at the first introduction of the birds, I didn't get past the first birds despite multiple attempts).

Charming game with cute art. It gets very difficult really fast though. There are quite a lot of lag spikes which is what killed me most of the time. If you work on improving the performance this could become a really fun game!

Fun strategy game with well suited graphics and interesting dynamics.

The game concept is interesting and I like that the villagers are somewhat autonomous. I never figured out how to build or use the resources. Also, what are the 3 differently colored geometric shapes in the upper middle of the screen? The game froze after a few days in both my runs. I think it could become really good if you choose to develop it further after the jam.

Fun concept! It's surprisingly difficult not to shoot oneself, which also fits really well with the jam's theme.

Fun game with nice art. Do the cubes actually do anything? Leveling up felt powerful and you could really kite hordes of monsters around (or stand still until the ranged enemies). Won by countdown.

Quite fun little platformer with lots of levels with an increasing difficulty. I especially like the tornados! Died at the first levels with the "cogs".

Is there a way to get back to the game after clicking the "thanks" button?

Great atmosphere! The pixelated fog and eerie sound design makes for a strong horror experience.

Is there a way to drop items? They can easily get lost if you stray from the house, never to be found again.

I would've liked some explanation of what I was supposed to do and how the mechanics worked, as it wasn't very intuitive. When is it possible to sleep and what is curse? Do the monsters actually do anything? (besides being very scary, the noise effect when they are near is really effective)

I am glad you like it!
I agree, PixelDeep really outdid himself on the audio I think. It was a blast firing up the engine for the first time when we were making it.

Thank for playing!

Thank you!

Great job reaching the end, did you find any of the secret shortcuts?
