Hi, thank you for your replies both in the posts and here for the clarification. I want to respond here regarding your last answer on the post and your recommendations about itch. When I wrote that post, I was in despair. It was my first time dealing with this. Honestly, I’m still scared that I won’t be able to popularize the game on itch in any way. So, to not waste time, I’m promoting it on TikTok. I’m planning to keep a development log on itch, just like you said. Thank you for explaining everything briefly here and in detail in the post.

Actually, I think this system isn’t very good, because it still doesn’t protect against low-quality pages on itch. I would automate the process, for example: if there is a background, a non-default color, many screenshots, and a trailer — then it should add points. The more points, the higher the page appears in the list. This way, authors who truly want to promote their game on itch would be indexed immediately or within a day.

And about the FAQ — it’s very poor documentation. It doesn’t explain anything at all. It’s like going to a psychologist who says, “everything is fine, it’s not your fault,” but never explains why it’s “fine.” They should at least write the average review time for a page, what it’s for, and so on.

I also have some suspicions about Butler. I think that if you publish a game using the regular upload button (not through Butler), then the page gets indexed immediately, or at least faster than a game published through Butler.

Anyway, thanks for the reply. I would be glad if you continue following my games — at least just subscribe to my itch.

If the translation is not accurate again, I sincerely apologize.

❤️

Okay, I get it. I'll keep waiting for my game to be indexed and hope everything goes well. At least I'm promoting the game on TikTok, so I hope that helps

So, I'm not complaining about the support. I just added this; I have no complaints about them. I do have questions about indexing, which I raised at the very end of the post. You answered some of them with links to the FAQ, but nothing about Butler. I just find similarities in that if you publish a game directly (without Butler), the page will immediately appear in the recent games. I want to ask, is Butler the driving force behind indexing? Perhaps the server perceives uploads through Butler as blank or suspicious, and that delays indexing.

I read about the FAQ, but missed the part about the week. My apologies for forgetting about it. Regarding "how to help move your game ahead in the queue" I did that, but as far as I understand, I wasn't exaggerating. Since I have practically nothing, I can't really promote the page. As for the criteria: why are you immediately publishing games with no information about them? I understand that you can't disclose it, but lol, why does my page or game look worse than a page with one screenshot and no description? As for support: maybe four days isn't that long, but I felt uneasy when, after a long development period, my game got no views or downloads. I read about indexing and waited this week. It said: "If your game is released after one day, you can contact support". I don't remember where it says that, but if I find it, I'll add it to the post. Overall, I have no major complaints about support.

Else you would know that 7 days is nothing and that support will not answer such requests and if they do, that it will be more than 4 days.

This is the first time I've encountered this in a year on this platform. I've read all the questions on this topic, and if everything was fine, I wouldn't have written this post here. Regarding support: you can write about indexing after one day, but I wrote after four. But you know, that's not fair lol. Go to your recent games now and you'll see garbage that's practically unformatted, yet it's indexed. How is that even possible? I had the same problem with Football Championship; the page wasn't very well formatted, but it was indexed right away

You also did not read the community message board rules.

Let's read the rules: "If you still need to create a topic about it, then please write in your post that you've read the docs and you still have a question, otherwise we'll close your topic."

Well, I have questions and grievances, which is why I wrote this long post (by the standards of other posts on this topic)

That costs money

Look, I don't care that it costs money. I'm a user of this platform, and as a user, I shouldn't care; I need to focus on my business. You can see this concern on the screens right now. Besides, treating this system well just because "it costs money" is stupid. I don't like it, and I've described its shortcomings here. My main complaint is: why does ICH immediately publish garbage without providing any information? No, let's put it this way: why is this garbage here? Even the information about this system states: "Indexing is generally available to all developers, assuming your account is in good standing and you aren’t abusing or creating low-quality pages" From this sentence, I understand that indexing is necessary for virus scanning and finding high-quality projects. In the post, you can see examples of pages without low quality

Things like malware, ddos attacks, pay out issues are a bit more important.

I agree with you on this, it is actually very important, but......

Itch does not see it is a priority to advertise games. Your page is fully operational. Itch believes developers should do their own promotion. For that you do not need to be indexed. Indexing is low priority.

Then explain why recommendations are even necessary if, in your opinion, they have no impact? Itch.io isn't just a place where you upload and forget about it; it's a platform similar to Steam. If it weren't, there wouldn't be developer blogs (there would only be updates, for example), no "recent games" or "new and popular" tabs (why? The developer needs to promote the game!), and no tags (just pages for games that have been published). All the factors (in a different sense) I've described allow Itch users to find something new outside of Steam, and all sorts of YouTubers can find new content there. Itch is an alternative to Steam for those who don't want to pay $100 or simply can't. You know, I'd accept this argument if we were talking about GameJolt, another competitor. There are practically no recommendations there; I've never had more than 20 views there. And GameJolt itself isn't very popular, as it has less opportunity to connect with its audience. I'd like to add that Itch has a CTR metric that directly impacts the platform, which is odd for a platform that "Itch does not see it is a priority to advertise games.." So, Itch shouldn't advertise my game, I'm not asking for that, I'm asking for my game to be visible to platform users among all the garbage from "recent games."

Hello everyone.

My first 3D game hasn’t been indexed for 7 days. I’ve read all the threads and all the discussions about indexing, but I still can’t understand why games that have no gameplay, no description, no screenshots — basically nothing — get indexed immediately, while I’ve been waiting for a week (examples: 1 2 3 4 5). Support hasn’t replied for 4 days; I hope they answer today.

I understand that new games appear on itch all the time, but I’ve been on the platform for a year. Before TTS3D I released 3 other games, and I’ve never had this problem before. All my previous games were published and indexed on the first day and immediately got views.
So why can’t itch offer proper moderation? Why do completely empty or low-quality pages get indexed instantly, while mine is stuck for days? What’s the point of the page quality guidelines if I’m already waiting 7 days?

I even saw a post from 3 years ago where someone’s game wasn’t indexed for 70 days! Seventy days without views, without recommendations. Just imagine you’re a beginner dev, you want to share your work, and the platform ignores your project for 70 days — but at the same time a page with no screenshots and no description gets approved instantly.

If I ask here how long I still need to wait, the answer will probably be “a few weeks.” But how long is “a few weeks”? A month? Two? So page quality doesn’t matter at all?
I thought maybe the issue was my installer (I uploaded an .exe installer instead of a zip file to stand out somehow). I replaced it with a zip — nothing changed.

I shared the link with my friends just so they could visit the page and play it. Still ignored. Even though the guide says that’s one of the ways to help the system notice a new game. Well, itch clearly didn’t notice anything.

I’m waiting for a response from support about my game indexing (both TTS3D and TTS — I updated the description and added TTS3D as the next part). Why is my game taking so long to be reviewed? Is it because of my page quality? Is it because of the game itself? Did I get into some sort of list that makes me wait 7 days?

My questions:

What else do I need to do for itch to finally “see” my game? Why does a game like mine take 7 days to review, but all sorts of low-effort projects get approved instantly? Is it related to using Butler? (As in, does using Butler slow down the process compared to uploading a <1GB zip manually?)

P.S I translated the entire message through a translator. If there are any inaccuracies, let me know.

I recently released my first 3D game, The Tringle Show 3D. I'd love to hear feedback on:

  • Game page
  • Game trailer
  • Game graphics (this is my first experience with 3D)
  • Gameplay quality
  • If there are any bugs, what are they?
  • How can I add to the game?
  • What wasn't clear?
  • If there are any additions I didn't cover, you can also post them here.

The game is here. I'll try to respond to all comments.

A few months later, we released a new part of the game—The Tringle Show 3D. Here's a brief synopsis:

The Tringle Show 3D is a 3D sequel to the "The Tringle Show" series. Set in the future, after the death of the game's creator, Todd Porter, his studio has created a new game. New technology has made it possible to create a 3D game. But just like last time, the game is hacked. You'll have to find out who's doing it and choose a side: the hacker, the deceased Porter, or no one. Like the first game in the series, the game was inspired by No Players Online and KinitoPET. The game is currently in beta, so the content is incomplete.

Please delete this bug, this happened when the captain should have been in another room. But still, the demo is 9/10, keep up the good work bro

For those who have shadows that don't work, it's the box. Light isn't being passed through because your model (box or glb) reacts to it and doesn't let the light pass. In the properties, turn off lighting completely, and then there will be light. PANDAKO, please write this in the behavior description, because this problem is easy to encounter

nice game for game jam👍

Hello, world! This is Pizberry

Currently, I am interested in developing a 3D game; however, I possess limited experience with 3D object creation software. I am seeking assistance from the itch.io community. If you have experience creating objects and characters according to reference, with optimisation, animation and good uv-rendering, we would be grateful if you could share your insights in Discord (@luk1zz) or in the comments section below. Should we proceed with collaboration, it is likely that we will work together again in the future, with the possibility of remuneration for your efforts or a percentage of sales from the game. (Please note that the game is currently free of charge.) Please find below the references and character creation parameters:

  1. The objective is to create a triangle with legs, so that it is evident that the legs originate from the back
  2. The mouth and eyes can be designed as you see fit. If you can create them three-dimensional, we will not object (otherwise, we will insert them as textures)
  3. The legs must be animated (for example, walking or turning the object), as must the eyes and mouth (either with bones if they are three-dimensional, or sprites if they are as textures)
  4. The character with walking, eyes, and mouth animation will need to be exported to the GLB extension

If you are interested in a free, long-term collaboration with future payment upon receipt of the benefit of the game, please contact us on Discord (@luk1zz) or in the comments section below

A character you need to make, but in 2d and from the last part

News #1

As we enter a new year, I would like to inform you that the latest news on our Discord server was posted a month ago. The Tringle Show game has now been in development for four months, and the next instalment is underway. I can now reveal the content of the game.

The game will be created in 3D on the Construct 3 engine, although 3D development on this engine can be challenging. We will endeavour to ensure that the visual quality of the game meets the required standard. The game will include new features, such as voice input directly from the microphone, and we are currently creating textures for the room. Following this, a script will be created that includes a significant amount of action with items.

The length of the game's development is yet to be determined; however, we can confirm that the main game will be completed by spring.

To continue following the development of our game, please subscribe to this page.

Hello, world! This is Pizberry.

Anyway, we had a "depressurisation" and decided to recreate a new part of The Tringle Show. That screenshot you saw, it will be saved for another future horror game. We've started to develop the script and I'll tell you what, it's going to be unforgettable

News #3

Hello, world! This is Pizberry.

We have some sad news. We have had problems with the engine we are working with. Because of which we are switching from construct 3 to other engines. This means that most likely the development of the new part of The Tringle Show will be developed for a long time. But don't despair, the script is being written and I'll tell you this, it will be the coolest project you will ever see!

News #4

Hello, world! This is Pizberry.

Dear friends, I've reached the point where it's possible to make a game in the engine itself. I want to tell you about the game itself, as things have changed since the first news.

The game will run on GDevelop engine, as we had financial problems with the previous engine. Also, the game will be half 2D and half 3D. I'll tell you right away, there are a lot of features there that are used in small amount of games. The game will be connected to the internet, that is, to servers. The game will be free. It will most likely come out with a publisher. It will come out this spring.

By the way, here's a little character spoiler for you

News #5

Hello, world! This is Pizberry.

I want to introduce you to what I've been doing all day today. These are the icons for the operating system that will run The Tringle Show 3D. I also created a model of Tringle in Blender. It took me a month to make since I didn't know how to use Blender. I can promise you that the process will move even further and you will see the beta version this spring!

News #6

Hello, world! This is Pizberry.

I want to let you know that the characters are almost completely finished! There are still two characters left. Changes have been added to the game:

1. The operating system idea was rejected, the reason is simple: little experience with the new engine (and code in general) + large amount of time

2. Due to improper time management during the development process, I would like to announce that the announcement of the final version is postponed indefinitely, but the Beta version will be released in May-June.

3. While we're developing characters, we're coming up with new story ideas, and I can tell you this: it's going to be something awesome for me personally

Hopefully development won't take until autumn ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯

P.S What's in the picture: Circle, Squarel, Tringle

News #7

Hello, world! This is Pizberry.

We haven't been in touch for a long time. We apologize for this and want to show you a few fragments of what we've been doing. We present to you what we've done in our absence:

  1. Rooms for all the main characters
  2. Mini games in the rooms
  3.  Various Easter eggs for the future development of the game
  4.  Lighting (not full)
  5.  Sounds (not full)
  6.  Design of rooms and buttons
  7.  The main gameplay of the game
  8.  Music (not full)
  9.  Intro for our studio
  10.  Future work that we'll be working on has been thought out

You might think that this is not much. But it was labor-intensive. In order to do all this, we've done extra work. Let's say that the foundation of the game on which it will be based has already been made. We're currently polishing the game.

If you want to support us, then it's better to join our discord server. It will be a great support for us.

What am I supposed to do about hell? After I defeated it, nothing happens now. What do I do next?

Thanks for the review, it makes me feel good to know that I can make games. I first came up with the idea of earth as a creation of nature, but the limitation was: no green. Then I interpreted it as: ‘no green at traffic lights all over the world’. About the bug with cars, the car system was very hard to make. I was redesigning it and could have messed up more somewhere, but basically it's the best solution in 72 hours. Thanks again for the feedback.

Thanks for the review, it makes me feel good to know that I can make games. About some of the bugs, it was quite difficult for me to make the car system as a whole. Animations, collision and to keep them from spawning 1000 at a time, I did what I could in 3 days. Also, NaN is the record that was shown to you? Thanks again for the feedback.

I was expecting a long game, and scarier than a horror game. The idea is cool, the realisation is good, but the horror is not visible here. 6/10

Download the new version of the game and delete TheTringleShow folder in AppData/Local. This way you will replay the game and this bug will disappear. You didn't leave long, so the walkthrough to that location will go quickly.

Look, I take it you either have a bug or you're closing the game at the wrong time. I'm leaning towards the former. You should not have waited at all, there are two dialogues that last 1-2 minutes. Try downloading a new version. If after 5 minutes, this window does not close automatically or you have a black screen all the time, write again.

Dorkfishie, recently, we released an update where it will now show you which buttons to press. If in the past, you and some players had difficulties, now there will be no such difficulties. Play with pleasure!

Hello world! This is Pizberry.

ENG: We have published the game with Russian language, as well as the Linux version. Now you can play on Steam Deck, Kali and many other operating systems that communicate with linux, and even in Russian. Download The Tringle Show soon and look for the mysteries in the whole story.

At this point, yes

No, you don't have to press anything in this level. This is the story part. Let's say prologue.

At the end of the game, you get a computer. When you press 1, either a code or an inscription appears. To get the code, trust the man. I can do a tutorial later if it's too hard to understand.

Hello, I am aware of this bug. To fix it, go to task manager and disable ‘nwjs’. This is no longer a problem of the game, but of the engine. In the next updates it will most likely be prevented.

Hello, sorry for not replying, haven't had internet all day. I mean, the storyline is that you shouldn't know what you need. Don't worry about it. This message (screenshot) was sent by the person you can meet in the first camera (at the end, the level with the computer).

Thank you for your feedback. About the hack-game was inspired by No Players Online and KinitoPET. There is something mystical in these two games. In No Players Online-wife and in KinitoPET your computer is hacked by a cute little toy. And in KinitoPET the hack looks very plausible, but in fact it is not a hack. In The Tringle Show, it looks like your computer is being hacked.

At the end it is pretended that the voice is distorted and impossible to read or hear, as the plot has another person plugged into your computer. Basically instead of three dots, it tells us the way to the easy ending (with the guy with the gun)

Hello, world! I recently made my second game-The Tringle Show. This horror game, it is a game for kids, a show for kids. I want feedback from you guys on these questions:
  • What do you think of the itch.io page?
  • Did you find any bugs in the game? Are there a lot of them?
  • What are you not satisfied with (crooked, not pretty)?
  • Did you want to play it more (more than an hour)?
  • How do you like the ending and the second ending (the second ending has to be opened not through the game, but through the internet, like in No Players Online)?
  • How do you feel the developer feels (beginner or professional, intermediate and so on)?

Pizberry presents! The Tringle Show is coming to itch.io!

Hello, world! We are glad to introduce a new game in 2D horror genre - The Tringle Show. The game does not last more than an hour, but it has everything scary and mysterious!

The essence of the game

You decided to download a game for young children, maybe even for your child. But soon you discover something strange in this game. The plot unfolds on the conflict of a child and their divorced parents. There are 2 endings in the game. We hope you will enjoy our game

Hi everyone, I need help with text-to-speech. My game uses mp3 and ogg instead of voiceover: text-to-speech from Windows. In the preview engine everything works fine, but when I export the game to nwjs, the text-to-speech removes the voice I put in. How can i fix this?

Voice: Mark. Language: en

I haven't been so scared of Foxy and other animatronics before))))))

Hi everyone, here I am answering people's questions that have crossed over from this article. If you have any questions about how to create something I will answer them.

I currently have plans to write an article on itch.io about creating AI on Construct 3. But I can't figure out the best place to write about it. General Developments or Devlogs?

I present to you the finished my first product of the game industry-Football Championship!

Last time I already wrote about Football Championship! Here it is, the post. But today I released the official finished product. The meaning of the game: in 2 minutes you need to hit the goal more than your opponent. The game is for one person. Learn more about the game.

Hello, world! I recently created my first game on Construct 3. It is now in Demo version and is updated frequently. I'm adding what I didn't have time for (subtle game rules). I would like you to play it and give your feedback. The main thing for me is to find out: if the game is well made. Here's a bit of gameplay info:

Football Championship-a pixelated, single-player, casual football game in which you can control the goalkeeper, defenders and strikers. The game was made on Construct 3 game engine. Artificial Intelligence of opponents and allies was seriously thought out.
During the game you can control one of the two strikers, and if the ball is in "your area" you can control the defenders as well. You have to score 3 goals to win, time is limited (15 minutes)

I think it's good for my first game. Yeah, I didn't get into the popular genres on itch.io. I should have made a horror game, but we learn from our mistakes. It took me about two weeks to make the demo. Really struggled with the bots. They are sometimes dumb, but on release they will think normally. Here are two gifs showing the menu and gameplay:
