There is an Unofficial French Translation here , i never tested it so i don't know if it works or if it's buggy or anything .

The developer Leef6010 specified the fix so im pasting from the description

MacOS Users: please be aware of a feature called Gatekeeper, which may show the message "This application is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the trash" when opening Project Kat. You can find information on how to bypass this error in this video. Alternatively, you can try to install Project Kat using the Itch App.

that's a very old message so i'm quite sure it doesn't apply anymore and having very little updates on ch1 doesn't seem unlikely when you consider the Lacie alternate clothing skin teaser in the wardrobe

As far as i know there is no way to kill the primal demons which i like because it really tunes you in for that nice tension vibe , especially when you consider the crescendo of tension that builds up very rithmically from the LockedSite foreshadowing and then BAM a little funny pink thing completely overshadow their threat level with such an amazingly orchestrated cutscene filled with horror , intrigue and wonder !

That's a very interesting observation , also If you like discussing the lore you could look into the Paper Lily Steam Discussions page or the Paper Lily Discord.

Considering that the devs said that ch2 will be paid i would expect it to be a different .exe rather then an integration to ch1 .exe otherwise i think it gets tricky to handle but i could be wrong.

I think it was some kind of cutting rather then snapping.

When the credits roll you know you got the true ending.

After the first playthrough i guarantee you there is some content you missed because there is so much cool hidden stuff all over the place

Kaiyo's art is a combination of master strokes , every line is unique , every color is perfectly chosen and as the eye travels on the canvas you feel like the universe is speaking to you , telling you to relax , to take a deep breath , and enjoy the day and yet before that happens you feel a burning sensation inside your chest , suddenly you want more ! you need more !

The ending is open because the devs really know how to tease fans.

I'm a huge fan and i loved the dead endings very much , just masterful work on the visual communication , masterful use of the "show dont tell" and "tell dont show " tecniques.

Finds issue , reports issue , fix issue , report fix for issue.

mmmm based on my guess of what i think you are trying to say i think that's a good point in terms of something that doesn't look optional but it's not trivial to deal with

Tell me some example of things you found too hard in the game that you perceived as probably not optional.

I think you are referring to the optional puzzles , you dont need any coins to beat the game , the optional puzzles and the coins are a layered extra challenge that you dont have to take to enjoy the game.

Too many savepoints reduce the feeling of danger , in other words the more dangerous an area is supposed to be the less save points it should have , and the forest is supposed to feel somewhat dangerous , i think the save points are paced perfectly overall but i see why you would disagree

It's taking the 2 devs years and years of work to make this masterpiece , it takes an insane amount of effort and dedication to make something like this plus they invested money in assets , JP translation , UI, Music.

It's only fair that ch2 is paid

right , it doesn't make any sense , it should be the most popular game ever made , however the market is often irrational and inefficient , eventually it will blow up as the greatest game ever

ideally there will be 4 more chapters so the feeling of "unfinished" that you are getting is intentional most likely.

My opinion on the thematic purpose of the first chapter is the following  :

Lacie starts on the edge between suicide and finding a cure , of course the game ends with Lacie finding something to live for , this is shown with Sai's connection to the "to do list before you die" , essentially he proposes a modification from Suicide to Life and Lacie i think accepts this in the form of a date.
