Really creative and cool take on the theme. With all the varied upgrades, your game gets quite the deep gameplay loop with lots of different ways of manipulating the number that I enjoy a lot. It's one of those types of games with tons of interesting strategic choices to make. I also adore the quirky art you made for this. It's all a really good fit with how you chose to interpret the theme. The only thing I wish for is a way to speed up or fast forward the looping process because it can take really long to just sit there and wait until the next loop lets me make those interesting choices again.
Hey, thanks a lot for playing and commenting! I'm happy you found the game fun and took your time to play through it all. Ah, that's an interesting take I hadn't seen before. A lot of people are telling us that the early-game is too slow and takes too long. Perhaps keeping the bat relevant in the later stages of the game through bat upgrades could be a compromise to still keep it engaging for those who'd rather mostly play with the bat. Something to think about...
Nice time by the way!
Yeah I hear that a bunch. Perhaps we should make the Llama base cost just a tiny bit cheaper to speed up the beginning a little. Bat upgrades is something we had planned at first but had to scrap due to time constraints. I'm glad that you still enjoyed the game. Thanks for playing and complimenting our game's presentation!
Phew, just narrowly managed to still get a rating in on this one. Well done on the game, I enjoyed playing through all the levels. The last one was so close I only had 2 seconds on the clock when beating it! :D
It's funny how few interactions I actually have to do and how it still manages to keep me busy and engaged all the time. Great stuff overall!
Thank you for playing and leaving your feedback! The fadeout was our solution to make it visible to people that there's more at the bottom actually. Guess that doesn't work for everyone. We used to have a scroll bar but it kinda broke the entire scroll view in this UI every time we turned it on. Thanks, Unity lol :D
Anyway, I'm glad that it still worked out for you and you enjoyed our game :)
Wow this was a thrill to play! I love how much variety in interaction you got out of this fairly simple mechanic. You have to treat each enemy differently and figure out how to handle them yourself without being told. And it works! The items were all great. I just wish that there was some sort of description of what they'd do in the shop. Actually now that I think about it, the most expensive one, the wing, was kinda obscure and I don't really know what it did. Managed to win on my 3rd try, best time is 2:53 :)
Nice art, I think it looks very good for what you're going for. I managed to make it to circle 13. It took me a long time to get it and I was about to give up before I realised that I had to stay in the light cone rather than having to escape it. I think it's perhaps a bit slow to get further, with no way of speeding it up which sadly makes it unattractive to try and improve my score.
I did enjoy all the patterns drawn by the obstacles all around. The health loss sound was very helpful.
Way to convey a narrative through mechanics. Well done! Hooked me with the art style and kept me with the spooky atmosphere later. The last level is harrowing. I wish you'd have made it a little clearer that the ending of level 3 was actually the intended ending of the game and not just a game over screen with no checkpoint. A simple "The End" on the screen with the replay button would've done it. Like this, I kinda felt like it just ended because I personally didn't play well enough.
Nice idea for a combination of idle and racing. Nice clean art and interface.
I feel like there isn't enough that actually makes the income much faster and all upgrades don't accellerate the progression enough to keep the player engaged. The thing about it not running in the background is a real shame but I guess after the jam you can fix that very easily. I'd highly encourage making progression faster and including some mechanic that actually increases the funds you get. Maybe you can style your car somehow and the people give you more money for that or so... Idk I think it has a lot of potential for fun but the balancing doesn't really make it all click at the moment.
Very cool, I played for a while and got the full track. Nice. We had a similar idea in our ideation phase, to combine the incremental game genre with racing. We ended up going for tower defense instead, but this one turned out very good too! I liked discovering the track bit by bit, even if at first that made it seem less like a loop to me. But it clicked in the end of course. There is kind of a lot of clicking involved to get the cars upgraded with the prestige system and all that. I wish there could just be some automation of that process because I couldn't be made to bother with clicking a thousand times on each car just to do the prestige thing over and over again. But it was fine as the game was very completable when just focusing on the blue starter car. Overall, pretty neat submission, I can see this scoring high!
Fascinating! That's some crazy dedication for science! And yeah the towers are kinda "too cheap" for this to be worth it. The best time I've seen I think was by AIA who had 34 minutes flat. He completely ignored waterguns but I think he could've built some at the boss because then he could've beat the boss faster so there's room for optimization, I guess.
Hey Joshi! It was fun playing your game and figuring out what I have to do in each room. The time limit really adds some tension to it overall. I got to the final key in room 3 too but then I got stuck in the ceiling with my last jump and couldn't move anymore...
Anyway, very nice idea overall and a good atmosphere, even if audio sadly seems to be missing.
