This is the brother track to my other single, HexJammer. A song about a bindrune consisting of four Elder Futhark runes (Uruz-Thurisaz-Isa-Hagalaz) for protection against external harm and ill will. The galdr (invocation vocals) are performed by myself in french. Whereas current songs concerning runes are sung/spoken in the Scandinavian tongue, I wanted to respect my upbringing and surroundings in Canada by recognizing the languages I grew up to learn. I am bilingual in both spoken and written word.
This is a track about energy. A raw and chthonic energy from the earth that strengthens and heals our well being.
The four runes that I have chosen as a bindrune are as follows:
Uruz: Chthonic Strength/Healing
Thurisaz: Defence
Isa: Self awareness of surroundings
Hagalaz: Weather the storm until it resides. A test of strength.
