It’s done! 57/57! 202K!

We hit the last station! I don’t apologize for any hurt or heartbreak, it was very fun to deliver it to your door still warm.

I hope you enjoy this last epilogue as much as the rest.

And in case you are seeing this fic for the first time:

Summary: You accidentally start to care about one AI from your night shift. And then you make it everyone’s problem. (And then everyone makes problems for you).

Start from the beginning.

Ana María de Soto y Alhama (1775–1833) was the first woman to serve in the Spanish marine infantry. Disguised as a man, she left home to sail and took part in numerous battles.

Military adventures

Ana was born in Aguilar de la Frontera, in Andalusia. In 1793, without informing her parents, she left home to enlist in the marines under the name Antonio María de Soto. This decision was reportedly motivated by her adventurous spirit and her desire to see the world.

In 1794, Ana boarded the frigate Mercedes. From that point on, she took part in several military engagements. She participated in the attack on Bañuls and in the difficult defense of Rosas. In 1797, she was present at the Battle of Cape St. Vincent, which pitted Spain against Great Britain and ended in a Spanish defeat. She also served among the gunboats, defending Cádiz against the British fleet led by Nelson.

Discovery and aftermath

Ana’s true identity was discovered in 1798 following a medical examination. The revelation was met with both surprise and admiration, and she was recommended for a pension. She was immediately discharged from service and reunited with her parents. In recognition of her service and heroic conduct in battle, she was later granted a royal pension as well as the rank of sergeant, enabling her to support her family. She was notably authorized to wear naval colors and the insignia of her rank over women’s clothing.

In 1799, Ana was granted a monopoly on the sale of tobacco in Montilla. In 1809 and 1813, she petitioned for her pension, which had not been paid since 1808. Some authors note that in 1819 she was reportedly stripped of the tobacco monopoly she operated as she was not permitted to receive two forms of state income simultaneously. However, documents from the Municipal Archive of Montilla list her as the holder of the monopoly until her death in 1833, at the age of fifty-eight.

After 13 years of this, it’s still funny to me that detailing a full mental breakdown on tumblr is standard fare, but posting a nice selfie is a fraught decision.

When caught naked in public, the wise man hides his face not his genitals.

Each Benoit Blanc film takes place in a different season and classic murder mystery setting.

Knives Out: Autumn in a country house

Glass Onion: Summer on a private island

Wake up Dead Man: Spring in a small town

So the next film in the cycle needs to be set in winter on a mode of transportation.
