12+ days without a word from support.
It’s the second week of February, and all of my orders have been stuck in the Sendico warehouse somewhere since sometime toward the end of January due to a website bug. I cannot seem to get in touch with anybody to solve the problem. My many messages to support fall on deaf ears, and I haven’t managed to get any help in their official Discord server, either.
I understand mistakes happen, but total radio silence for weeks is a completely unacceptable customer experience.
The rest of the experience has been smooth, but that hardly matters when my purchases aren’t getting shipped to me.
Tracking system. It's bad, i know that you can't do much about it, but I don't even know where my parcel right now. It was in Japan, dispatched and now - nothing. No updates on it. I don't even have information about approximate time of arrival
TLDR: I think they are okay but personally, one hoop too many to jump through to make an order. It'll probably be good for people who don't know Japanese but if you're more experienced, there are more simpler options.
There were a couple items that I forgot about and order deadline was coming up in 2 days. I usually use a different service that's basically just a PO box. I understand Japanese relatively well so I'd make my own order and send it to them. But I saw some good reviews for Sendico so I thought I'd take the opportunity to try them out.
I ordered my 2 items 2 days before the deadline. I was definitely cutting it close but they responded very quickly the next day to confirm my order. The issue was though, the order only had one of my items and they told me the other one was "sold out". It was odd because both items were part of the same set so they had the same deadline and they were made to order so it shouldn't have been. I checked the store on my end (a day before deadline) and it was still available. I sent a support ticket asking them to look into it in which they responded back 2 days later (a day after the order deadline) saying the item was sold out.
I'm sad I didn't get my order but honestly it was a fault on both ends so no harm no foul. What I learned though, was that if you have a good understanding of Japanese, you may be better off using a PO box equivalent instead of using a proxy service like this. I can't take back the credits I put in, so I'll eventually make another order and with ample amount of time lol

I have used sendico many times over the past few years. Products always delivered to Australia within 4 weeks. My most recent parcel is taking a bit of time, but I have faith based on history.

Shipping was faster than expected. Item was packaged very well. Price was very fair compared to alternatives, such as ordering from eBay shipped from Japan.
Ive lost some important auctions because I trusted in Sendico and the page doesnt work. Considering to use another proxy service in the future
item in very good condition, shipped fairly promptly and arrived in short order. Excellent experience overall.
They are everything they advertise, but the wait for a response from them can be timely.

My Parcel Z-140756, was unable to be shipped because it "exceeded dimensions." This has suspend the transaction until it can be resolved through dialogue. The problem is that they have automated their responses and have since ignored all messages on my part to resolve the issue.
I'm afraid I have potentially been scammed.

They are very disorganised, their customer support is extremely slow at answering and never gives back full answers.
Also the packing needs improvement big time, I have received a lot of items damaged.

Just received another parcel today with 18 consoles in it amongst other things.
All consoles came with broken plastics,I know it happened during shipping because all the small pieces were in the box.There was no bubble wrap in between the consoles or on the one side of the box.
Even though I pay for all the extras(insurance, extra good packing and stretch film) they still dont do it properly.
There are other proxy services out there.

Sendico is extorting their customers and will not respond to inquiries.
Until and unless Sendico can prove otherwise, my statement stands. Since Sendico isn't responding, it's a clear indicator they do not care.
With the amount of fees you will end up paying to Sendico for low weight, low value, small/regular size packages, it will cost you HUNDREDS OF U.S. DOLLARS and you are better off using that to purchase a plane ticket to Japan. It is now week 3 with no answers, and with the amount of time wasted with Sendico, it is now costing me even more money.
1. Sendico charged my credit card almost 11,000 JPY for a charge that was supposed to be 10,500 JPY. Sendico has refused to provide an explanation nor have they corrected this. Sendico has not corrected the charge, nor have they credited my account accordingly with the extra money they charged to my credit card. This is theft. UPDATE: Whatever response they're giving me now is a lie. They are literally extorting customers and making things up as they go. They are now telling me that to use a credit card it costs hundreds of extra in Japanese yen when this is not at all shown as what the credit card fee is when Adding Funds to Wallet. It clearly shows it's only 16 JPY, not hundreds more. Basically, what they're saying is to make a purchase, it's not only the additional 500 JPY (Sendico Commission) that you add to the wallet for purchase price of the item, you will also pay an additional ~ 500 JPY to pay via credit. No where is this indicated when Adding Funds to Wallet that it's hundreds more to use a credit card.
2. Sendico put my account into a negative balance of more than -10,500 JPY the same day they charged my credit card almost 11,000 JPY. My Sendico account wallet was topped up to cover all my purchases and there is no additional inland shipping fees for those items. Sendico has refused to provide an explanation nor have they corrected this. UPDATE: I see now Sendico has moved the negative balance which they later claimed are Tariffs (again, ZERO documentation or written notice of this) of -10,543 JPY into Pending Funds, and the 10,500 JPY from my Pending Funds that was to cover my 10,500 purchase to a negative balance in "Available Funds."
3. Based on my purchase history, I would not have anticipated shipping to exceed more than $100-$120 ($150 MAX to be generous and accommodate for tariffs and inflation) for all three low weight and low value parcels. Customers are now trapped paying hundreds of dollars in shipping fees for otherwise low value, low weight packages and Sendico will not provide any explanation. It is not the tariffs. The Tariffs show to be ~ $20 or less when requesting a parcel. Sendico will not send you any documentation showing what the actual tariffs are nor any cost break down. Sendico will not provide a cost breakdown for the shipping to explain why the shipping charges have more than doubled. Sendico does not allow you to select "Prefer Cheaper Shipping" (it is automatically X out). In the Parcel Request comments, I have repeatedly asked for cheaper shipping option. I have also asked for cheaper shipping options in the Sendico Support with no response. You will not see ANY PRICING for what your shipping options are when the parcel is made. Sendico is now expecting customers will blindly pay.
Current Parcel 1: The contents do not weigh more than 7-8lbs total. Each item in this box is lightweight hallow plastic and a few small toys weighing 1 ounce (no more than 2 ounces if being generous). The longest side is 21", smaller than any regular delivery box. It is nothing abnormally large, or even that big of a box. Sendico Charged Weight 11.90lbs charging 16,184 JPY with no explanation. This is over $100 USD. Sendico is now telling me that my negative balance of over 10,500 JPY is for Tariffs. Again, Sendico has provided me ZERO documentation to prove this. So that makes this one small parcel about $150 USD or more to ship. Meanwhile, others have shared in their previous purchases that they've bought MULTIPLE FULL SIZE GAME CONSOLES and have only paid $40-$50 USD to ship the entire box. But my small, light weight plastic toys, low value parcel using "economy shipping" will cost over $150 USD?
Current Parcel 2: Package Weight is less than 6lbs. Sendico shipping charge 9,856 JPY with no explanation.
Current Parcel 3: Items weigh less than 5 lbs. Sendico charged for 4kg. Shipping Cost $123 USD.
Here is data showing what Sendico used to charge:
* 2.2 lbs Parcel: 3,630 JPY (~ $22 USD)
* 2.4 lbs Parcel: 3,441 JPY
* 11 lbs Parcel: 6,744 JPY ( ~ $ 42 USD. I am now being charged over $100 USD for a similar parcel).
* 8 lbs Parcel: 6,537 JPY ( ~ 41 USD. I am now being charged 9,856 JPY for a package that is less than 6 lbs).
* Another 11 lbs (5.10kg) Parcel. This one has a shipping fee increase: 8,545 JPY ( ~ $54 USD).
