Had the pleasure to experience this year’s @rt-gift-exchange , and was blown away by every aspect of it!

I also had the honor to create my contribution for @kaisermakes , picturing Rogue Trader Owen (Thorne) and Pasqal. I went with this very stylized look in attempt to mimic animations - if I had the skills and time, Pasqal’s devices would’ve had this early 2000’s 3D models combined into 2D character look going on…!

Shout out to my friend @atomeja , helping out with the lights - and stuffing some little extra inside the tech-priest, too! All these really brought this into another level, and helped with finishing the piece in time.

More adventures with the crew and the Expanse’s biggest mess going on two legs.

Folks have been terrifically nice about my Rogue Trader - Owen (Thorne) Van Valancius - so have a bunch of old sketches of him as an acolyte - as well as some embarrassing baby pictures from like 10 years ago - because I never make new OCs I just slowly let them ferment and combine like molds.

In order:

-His cadian junior commissar dad and his grandpa/ dad’s boss. (Got with the boss’s daughter)

- Same, a little later on

- Baby Owen!

- Less baby Owen and his Grandpa (now boss)

- Finally, off interrogating on his own
