Your choice, dude.
It's worth it.

Hey, if you want to get off to basic animated sex, then just go ahead. AVNs cover a LOT of ground now, and have grown substantially from their simplistic roots.

If the most important factor for you in AVNs is only the animated sex scenes, then I hope you find what you're looking for. I'm sure that niche is well covered.

The medium has FAR more to offer.

Try GSL (GameStoryLog) as a centralized location for reviews and information about AVNs. It is free.  Pirating paid content makes the problem even worse.  But seriously, Origin Story is 100% worth it. I've got no skin in the game (no pun intended) and it is one of my top games of all time.

Retirement is fantastic!  Welcome to the club.

Sorry, guy.

The AVN landscape has changed DRAMATICALLY. Production values are WAY greater than they have ever been. You can still find that old-style brainless drivel, but maybe try something better.

ha ha ha ha ha

Sorry bub, you're missing one of the greatest AVNs out there. Your loss.

Moron.

Does itch get updated for ch2 ?

when does ch2 show up here?

Enjoyable from the get-go. A protagonist who isn't a self-centred asshole,  intelligent mature writing, and unique world building.

Highly recommended.

Is there a DL link to the guide?

Oh, I absolutely understand that! It was feedback about what made your storytelling unique and what seems to have been missing from the SFW version.

I guess it was a feeling that the 'proper' change to go from your original work to this SFW version isn't a simple cosmetic touch up, but full-on open heart surgery.  If you can't have the adult jokes and situations, then different jokes and different situations would need to be created to provide the multi-layered storytelling that provides character insight and context present in the original. This means different branching/choices and dialogue and different artwork and situations.

I guess I am trying to say that the core mysteries within the game are foundational and solid, and would not have to change at all (from what I've seen to date). This is good! But the layers that provide the character dynamics and world building might need significant changes, and this would represent a fair chunk of additional effort on your part.

If you are willing and able to put this additional effort into your work, then end result will be just as compelling as your original.

After playing it and then replaying the first chapter of the original, I think you'd need to spend a *lot* of effort to SFW the full story to make it work. Many of the decisions fall into the 'should I be bad' kind, and without the cheeky humour (i.e. boob jokes, etc) a lot of the umpf disappears. Things like Simon's night out and the Sexbot adventure also don't really translate.
The primary underlying story would work just fine, but the flavour and spice would need to be recreated from scratch, which sounds like more a higher cost than the benefit.
Its not a quick trim to make an action movie fit for television.  "Porky's" simply *can't* work on network TV.

A SFW version is actually a great idea - on the assumption that the 'conversion' is relatively painless.

It makes it so I can have others play that might not appreciate the NSFW portions. The writing has always been my main focus for enjoyment, a SFW version allows for a larger audience - in my opinion.

flashback/dream - you can't read things in a dream

Life is life. Not just the main character is making decisions in the story.

You're worried about this to this extent, but also rage about the tiny possibility of supposed NTR? Get over yourself. Are you even tall enough to see over the counter?

For those of use who have lived a life, it is wonderful to have an escapist story that actually has meat behind it.

Good story, extremely well executed.
I've very happy I've found this developer.

In chapter 4, you don't decide against 'Blake', you turn down the opportunity to join the Brotherhood right away. This was not the decision I took, as it seemed premature to jump on the first opportunity, that put Noel at the mercy of the Brotherhood's orders.  You were told you would be high level, but not the highest. We would have been taking orders. I decided to defer until other offers were made - as a player I was expecting to receive many different offers at the event. However, as I had turned down the General's initial offer (Noel said he was truthful, but did not comment on the quality of his offer - I did not act contrary to Noel).   There was not opportunity to join with the Brotherhood after the bloodbath.
Again! Let me be clear, I in no way dislike the choices/consequences in AVNs!  I absolutely agree with choices leading to consequences, it was more that statement that was made in the comments that there are no choices that lead to consequences 4 chapters later.  The decision to not immediately join the Brotherhood avoids a number of choices opportunities, which are part Blake's path.  There are no decisions (that I could find) you can make if you do not join the brotherhood in Chapter 9 that can lead back to her path.
I guess, looking back, If there was a chance when the bloodbath started, to directly tell Blake (before you knock her out) that seeing how they had just lost their leadership, you would join with the brotherhood to support them.  However, I stand by the choices I made in ch 4 originally, to keep my team's options open, as it did not appear to be to be a yes/no path choice at the time.
I have kept both saves (choose brotherhood / not choose brotherhood) at ch 10, and I will continue the game on my original play (not choose brotherhood), but afterwards, I will go back.

OH, and in case it wasn't obvious: thanks for creating such a game, I really enjoy when you must stare at the options and weigh them. Nothing has me invested in a story as much as when I have to lean back in my chair and *think* and not just instinctively click. Secondly, thank you for replying and providing such a response.

This is true, but it was more to that decisions more than 4 chapters ago. Just to be clear, I absolutely agree with decisions making differences down the line! However, the decisions that lead to Blake's path was more than 4 chapters previous. Its a long way back to fix that.

i do not punish you for a decision, that you made 4 chapters ago.
Explain chapter 9 and losing Blake's path.
