For the first time I have decided, in my own way, to help the love win over all prejudice, yay!
Sometimes I hear some people here say “but why do they do these pride? They have nothing better to do?”
If someone had asked it to me a few years ago, I probably wouldn’t have
been able to answer, but then I met a special person, the kind of person
you want to spend your life with and give him all yourself… and then I
realized that I want a better place to live by his side.
For many, homophobia is not a problem, because (thankfully) in many
countries, sexuality and gender are seen as normal and everyday things,
in which all are equal. But there are less fortunate places, in which
even just for holding hands with the person you love, or wearing a dress
of the opposite sex, you are thrown into prison, or worse, and the fact
that similar situations still occur in 2021 is abominable.
The place where I live is so renowned for culture, food and history…
but in my country, holding the hand of a person of the same sex is still
seen today as something disgusting and depraved; after years of efforts
it was possible, to have homosexual marriages
accepted in my country too, however the situation is far from improved,
transexuals are still mocked or beaten, unable to find work or have a
social life… and the worst thing is that if one day I want to have a
baby with my life partner, in this country I will not be able to,
because it is still completely illegal on here, and this is what they call culture?
This drawing probably won’t make the difference… but if what you had
read, whether you are Gay or Straight, Male or female, has somehow
affected you, know that in your little one, if
more people will follow this example, one day we will be able to make a
difference and hopefully make life better for many people.
my future is at the side of the person I love most of my same life, and nothing and nobody will ever change this thing, in the end love will win over everything ♥
