If you just cannot figure it all out, be aware that there are almost always people ready to help in our Discord, don't be afraid to ask questions! You can always edit to correct a mistake. So do not hesitate to actually push your modification on the wiki. You should not be worried about committing a modification. Of course, it is better to get it right the first time, as correcting mistakes is additional work, but you should not feel nervous and bad because a mistake may end up on the wiki.

  • Who can contribute?
    • Everyone can contribute! The only requirement is to have an account and to be logged in. Getting started can be a bit overwhelming but make sure to check our guides, and you'll learn in no time!
  • How can I contribute?
    • While logged in you'll be able to see an "Edit" button at the top bar in most pages you visit. Additionally, next to each header in a page you can also find smaller "Edit" buttons that assists you editing just a smaller piece of the page's code. Click any of these buttons, make your changes, then save the page. For more details, check our Editing Pages help page.
    • It is recommended to start small. Check for typos, update players/teams information, or add match results. As you become more comfortable, you can take on larger tasks like creating new pages.
  • What if I make mistakes?
    • Mistakes are fine. Everyone makes mistakes! Try to see mistakes as part of your learnings process; they will happen sometimes, you or someone else will fix them, but most importantly is that you acknowledge them and improve with them.
  • Where can I ask questions? Who can help me?
    • Join our Discord server! We have a very active community with experienced contributors willing to assist you getting started. Be sure to be effective when asking questions: provide context, links, references, etc.
  • What do the different roles mean?
    • Different users have different permissions depending on their roles. In our Discord server you'll see them split into Editors, Reviewers, Administrators, and Employees. Check our User Roles page for more details on the different permissions each roles provides.
  • Why was the page I created removed/deleted?
    • Pages may be move to a userspace page (i.e. BestPlayerNA123 page would be moved to User:USERNAMEHERE/BestPlayer123) if they don't meet the wiki's notability guidelines, lack sufficient information, or their quality is low. Once that's no longer the case, the page may be restored.
  • What images am I allowed to upload?
    • You can upload any photos or images as long as proper permission has been granted to Liquipedia, or whether it's a fair use image or not. Please make sure to read the Images support page for more details.
