Baba (2) – she’s starting to define herself through my pencil, I see depth in her personality emerging, exciting 🤩
Baba – She comes to me every so often and asks to be seen. To be visualized, to be represented. So I draw her. She’s a cluster of emotions and experiences from elsewhere, and through the act of drawing her, I feel and understand her more. With each drawing the truth of her story comes more into focus. I propose that there is a light enveloped by her tormented exterior, which she seeks to be illumined. Can an artist liberate a discarnate spirit? Let us find out…
