(trying to give relationship advice) from a narrative perspective i think both of you dying together would be the most emotionally satisfying resolution but i’m guessing that’s not what you want to hear
the bisexuality was there. it didnt change anything. it didn’t save anyone. there were just too many forces against it. but it still matters that the bisexuality was there

Aryleigh ran through the plan one more time as she perched on the roof of the inn. It was one of the biggest that the city had to offer, and stood three stories tall. The front was carved with dragons crawling up the sides; dragons in their beast form, with large, leathery wings and sharp fangs. The bulky bodies somehow looked elegant, and their long necks curved to peer at each other. The eyes of the dragons glittered. It was a waste of jewels, in her opinion. But this wasn’t an inn for humans. This inn was for the visiting dragons who passed through.
That was one of the things she hated about the dragons the most. They had a human form as well as their bestial one. They looked just as human as the next man, save for a few clues. Aryleigh had grown quite skilled over the years at detecting those hints. Most dragon’s eyes slitted in bright light, rather than contracting into smaller circles like a human. They were far warmer than a human had any right to be, and often radiated such heat. She could feel that heat coming through the roof she was crouched on. In the light rain that pattered all around, the building gave off steam. The biggest signal to Ari, however, was the smell. They smelled of fire, of smoke, of burning charred meat. It followed them like a perfume, and more often than not sent most animals into a panic.
Humans didn’t handle the presence of dragons any better than other animals did, she reflected. She frowned at the empty street below. The humans gave the inn a wide berth, save for the most desperate of whores, or the greediest of merchants. There weren’t many of them, however. Not that anyone told a dragon no. Aryleigh bit back a snarl at the thought.
The rain was falling more heavily now, making her grateful for the jacket she wore. It was one of her own design, and made with the help of some tailors from the Vircana islands in the south. Beeswax coated the threads before it had even been woven into the cloth that made up the jacket. On top of that, instead of wearing a cloak, which could snag on things, or be grabbed by someone as she ran by, she had a hood sewn directly onto the jacket. It had proved very useful over the years.
A loud crack of thunder overhead made her startle. There was little time to linger, so after letting out a slow breath, she carefully eased over the side of the building, and then dropped lightly onto the balcony. Her landing was light, and she didn’t pause before continuing to move, jumping up onto the ledge, and flinging herself to the next balcony. Again she didn’t pause instead swinging down once more, her gloved fingers clinging to the railing as she swayed a little to make sure she landed on the balcony right below the one she was on now. She landed harder than she meant to, and her knee collided painfully with something hard. Cursing silently, she froze, but there was no sound in the room she huddled outside. She slowly rose from her crouch, palming a blade from her belt as she did. The dagger was wicked sharp, and dragonmade, if she wasn’t mistaken. She had never bothered to check; she wasn’t that stupid. No human would want to deal with a dragonmarked blade and to show a dragon was suicide. No, the only dragons who saw her wield this blade died.
dragon kidnapping a human and taking them back to their cave and dropping them on the ground, and the human is worried they’re gonna get eaten or deflowered or both but instead the dragon just pulls them close and lays down on top of them and falls asleep
sometimes it’s not even enemies to lovers. sometimes you get handed the leash of a snarling, barking dog against your will and realize with dawning horror that you are now responsible for teaching it not to bite
