As we speak of Renee Nicole Good, let’s remember Silverio Villegas González who was also shot and killed by ICE agents while in his vehicle, then ICE made claims that differed from video evidence. Let’s remember Marimar Martinez who survived after being shot at by ICE five times, but then had to fight against felony charges that were based on claims that differed from video evidence. Let’s remember Jaime Alanis, Roberto Carlos Montoya Valdez and Josué Castro Rivera who all died as a result of ICE raids.

Let’s remember everyone that we know of who died in ICE custody due to neglect and “undetermined causes” in this past year alone. Again, these are the deaths that we know of:

Genry Ruiz Guillén, Serawit Gezahegn Dejene, Maksym Chernyak, Juan Alexis Tineo-Martinez, Brayan Garzón-Rayo, Nhon Ngoc Nguyen, Marie Ange Blaise, Abelardo Avellaneda, Jesus Molina-Veya, Johnny Noviello, Isidro Pérez, Tien Xuan Phan, Chaofeng Ge, Lorenzo Antonio Batrez Vargas, Oscar Rascon Duarte, Santos Banegas Reyes, Ismael Ayala-Uribe, Norlan Guzman-Fuentes, Miguel Ángel García Medina, Huabing Xie, Leo Cruz-Silva, Hasan Ali Moh’D Saleh, Gabriel Garcia Aviles, Kai Yin Wong, Francisco Gaspar-Andrés, Pete Sumalo Montejo, Shiraz Fatehali Sachwani, Jean Wilson Brutus, Fouad Saeed Abdulkadir, Delvin Francisco Rodriguez and Nenko Stanev Gantchev.

You can read their stories here:

Keith Porter, who was shot and killed just a few days before Renee, on New Years Eve. By on off duty officer.

Do not forget the other victims of ICE

as much as we must mourn and stand in solidarity with Renee Nicole Good, please do not forget the other victims of ice raids, who are not white.

Silverio Villegas González, a cook from mexico who was dropping his son off at daycare and was murdered

Jaime Alanis, a farmer from mexico who fell off a green house at the farm where he worked to send money to his wife and daughter

Roberto Carlos Montoya Valdez, a father and grandfather from Guatemala who was hit by a car

Josué Castro Rivera, a garden from Honduras who was struck by a car

And so many others who were killed or are dying in detention centres, prisons ect

racial bias is always something we must be aware of, Renee will be focused on because she was a white woman and a US citizen, but do not forget all the other victims of ICE, may they all rest in power

Serawit Gezahegn Dejene, from Ethiopia, who was kept in the Eloy concentration camp for 6 months despite being diagnosed with cancer

Marie Ange Blaise, from Haiti, who begged to see a doctor for her chest pains and was refused by ICE in Florida

Johnny Noviello, from Canada, Lorenzo Antonio Batrez Vargas, from Mexico, and Jean Wilson Brutus, from Haiti, whose families still have no answers about how they died in ICE custody

Shiraz Fatehali Sachwani, from Pakistan, who they kept detained for 5 months at a Texas concentration camp despite a history of liver and kidney issues

Fouad Saeed Abdulkadir, an imam from Eritrea, who was held in a concentration camp in Pennsylvania for a year and a half for the charge of applying incorrectly to a welfare program

24 other community members and loved ones died in ICE custody just in 2025

On Learning to Dissect Fetal Pigs by Renée Nicole Macklin i want back my rocking chairs, solipsist sunsets, & coastal jungle sounds that are tercets from cicadas and pentameter from the hairy legs of cockroaches. i’ve donated bibles to thrift stores (mashed them in plastic trash bags with an acidic himalayan salt lamp— the post-baptism bibles, the ones plucked from street corners from the meaty hands of zealots, the dumbed-down, easy-to-read, parasitic kind): remember more the slick rubber smell of high gloss biology textbook pictures; they burned the hairs inside my nostrils, & salt & ink that rubbed off on my palms. under clippings of the moon at two forty five AM I study&repeat ribosome endoplasmic— lactic acid stamenALT
at the IHOP on the corner of powers and stetson hills— i repeated & scribbled until it picked its way & stagnated somewhere i can’t point to anymore, maybe my gut— maybe there in-between my pancreas & large intestine is the piddly brook of my soul. it’s the ruler by which i reduce all things now; hard-edged & splintering from knowledge that used to sit, a cloth against fevered forehead. can i let them both be? this fickle faith and this college science that heckles from the back of the classroom now i can’t believe— that the bible and qur’an and bhagavad gita are sliding long hairs behind my ear like mom used to & exhaling from their mouths “make room for wonder”— all my understanding dribbles down the chin onto the chest & is summarized as: life is merely to ovum and sperm and where those two meet and how often and how well and what dies there.ALT

On Learning to Dissect Fetal Pigs by Renée Nicole Macklin

Renée Nicole Macklin was a poet, writer, wife, and mother of three. She was killed on January 7, 2026, in Minneapolis after being shot by an ICE agent.

Born and raised in Colorado, Renée described herself on social media simply as a poet and writer and wife and mom. She studied creative writing at Old Dominion University and, in 2020, received the Academy of American Poets University & College Poetry Prize recognition that helped her work reach readers beyond her immediate community.

Those who knew her remember Renée as compassionate, loving, and deeply creative. She cared fiercely for her children, her partners, and the people around her. Her mother described her as “one of the kindest people I’ve ever known,” and loved ones say her life was shaped by caregiving, curiosity, and art.

shooting someone ‘in self defense’ as an ICE agent is fundamentally stupid because it is entirely your fault for being an ICE agent

Rest in Peace to Renee Good. ICE shooting an innocent 37 year old mother attempting to protect her neighbors is not an accident or an act of self defense, it is an act of terror designed to dissuade other people from stepping in, documenting ICE violence and reminding immigrants of their rights. Her son is now an orphan and the president of the United States is calling her a ‘professional agitator’ on social media.

The head of ICE is calling her a violent terrorist and claimed her attempt to back her car away was actually an effort to murder the ICE officers present.

There’s a reason that the Right have all rallied so quickly behind this narrative: it’s happened before, with ICE’s approval.

Renee is the ninth person to have been shot by ICE since last September; and in all of those shootings the victim was in a vehicle and the agents claimed that the vehicle was “a threat”/trying to “run them down.” One other shooting, that of Silverio Villegas Gonzalez, was also lethal.

This is pretty clearly a sanctioned tactic being used by ICE repeatedly with an eye towards using the vehicle-as-weapon excuse later.

Edit: to put this in perspective, ICE is doing this on average every other week.

Help a disabled Enby and their elderly disabled mother survive the winter while Homeless.

Hi there, I’m Casi, I’m a disabled enby who is the sole caregiver for my elderly disabled mother. We are Homeless, and staying in a hotel because it is the safest option for us. Theres no shelters anywhere accessible, we have no family that could put us up, and the county sheriffs will arrest you if they find you on the streets or camping in the desert. We dont even have a car to live in. We have no transportation and no other options.

She has chronic bronchitis and severe arthritis and has difficulty breathing and walking, I have chronic pain and autoimmune issues as well as HS which are all flaring up badly right now[comorbiditys a bitch and stress + cold doesnt help hahahahaha].

Currently Moms SSI is our only stable income, and it only goes so far. I do sell my art and am looking for stable work but, as of 9am Dec. 9th, we’re flat broke with nothing substantial expected to come in this month.

We have all our medications and the necessary supplies for the month, and our food stamps are good today so we will have food covered, the sole worry is the big one, keeping a roof over our heads.

The room is paid for until Tuesday the 16, it costs $72 a night, $557 a week.

Literally anything that anyone could spare to help us is so incredibly appreciated, even $1 helps, a reblog especially helps because the more people who see this the more likely someone who can afford to help us will see it.

Ko-Fi / PayPal / Redbubble [I also have art in my Ko-Fi shop]

Don’t have the mental capacity to write up a fully new post for this month and since this one still has all the correct information I’m just gonna update here

Update as of 11am Jan 5th: we have the room paid for until Tuesday the 13th. We have a little bit of food and some of our meds. If anyone has anything they could potentially spare towards helping us it would be incredibly appreciated. Please keep this circulating so maybe someone who can afford to help us might see this.
