“Yeah, I’d like that.”
Eddie took Steve’s hand and gently tugged him through the house towards the main bedroom. Hopeful that the date would go well, Eddie had turned down the beds and made sure the lights were low and soft.
Eddie chuckled softly as Steve stood and crossed the room, stepping right into Eddie’s space.
“Can I do something first?” Steve asked. “Before we go any further? I just … I want to check something.”
Eddie nodded, humming when Steve pressed his lips to Eddie’s in a kiss. Steve’s lips were soft and tasted like whipped cream and strawberries; Eddie groaned and deepened the kiss, arms wrapping around Steve to keep him close.
“Your kisses are addictive,” Eddie whispered when he broke the kiss.
“Sure.” Eddie began unpacking the bags as Steve moved over to the small entertainment center and got some music playing softly. “This feels … domestic.”
“A little,” Steve agreed as he rejoined Eddie in the kitchen. “Do you mind?”
“Not if you don’t,” Eddie replied, separating the salad ingredients out.
“I don’t mind.”
“Then neither do I.” Eddie reached for the cutting board and began to prep the salad even as Steve worked to cook the pasta.
