there are sooo many shrimpo x (anyone) fanfics where shrimpo has a crush on them from the beginning and is in denial and I get it can be fun but omggg you guys. there are like a million more creative more interesting things to do
i want him to actually really hate them but grow to love them over time
i want him to start under a barrier of emotionless anger but then someone helps him and lets him learn to love
i want him to learn and grow and change and figure out how to experience emotions he maybe wasnt allowed to experience when gardenview was open. if you think about it theres a lot of things you can do with the concept that he was a JOKE character especially if you decide that he was also a joke character in universe. maybe in order to keep his “funny” blindly raging personality he was taught to bury any other emotions or reactions he felt and was taught to only respond with anger. maybe it wasnt really his fault because this is what he was taught to do. Maybe its the only thing he knows how to do. maybe when he gains a crush on (whoever) he doesn’t know how to handle those emotions because he’s never felt anything like that before. maybe he wasnt allowed to bond with anyone in a positive way. maybe this is the first time anyone else has ever seen him as a real person and not as a living joke.

Someone liked this and I just wanted to say that its still true!!! treating shrimpo differently is literally the key to making a more interesting fanfic to us… like. literally just do ANYTHIGN with her idc. even if its not a shrimpo ship fanfic and/or hes not a main character!! treating him differently makes the whole world more interesting i think since it adds more depth in general to not have some random joke character
