Diagram I made to explain the importance of me having a hyperfixation at all times
Many people seem to have the misunderstanding that if one doesn’t have a hyperfixation, they will have more time to think normal thoughts. This however, is incorrect. The amount of normal thoughts thunk by the average neurodivergent stays relatively the same, it’s the amount of bad thoughts thunk that changes depending on the intensity of ones’ hyperfixation. Yes I am a neuroscientist trust me
I legit just saw someone calling Lando’s start of the season “embarrassing”.

This is interesting because there are a couple of things at play here.
I think the person who called it “embarrassing” is probably your average hater with no knowledge of how consistency works in F1.
But other critics love to point out that Lando struggled during the first half. If you look at the stats, it doesn’t add up. But if you look at the first half in isolation, there two possible reasons for this. One, Lando was expected to dominate and outperform Oscar. Two, he did struggle in quali and himself said he needed to improve.
I think this mainly stems from the fact that he was being held to an extremely high standard, and then was criticised for not meeting it. Which would make sense if he was not finishing on the podium at all. But despite the struggle, he was finishing on the podium in a car he wasn’t a hundred percent comfortable in.
Even when he wasn’t at his full potential, he was finishing P2 or P3.
Which is fucking wild if you really think about it.
People will use metrics completely different from the official championship used metrics and claim aha! Under my specific metric measurements the other guy wins! So the so called champion is a farse. Then retroactively try to justify it by overthinking the officially used metrics. Like at this point just watch another sport.
