Cashmere Sweater

1950s

The Philadephia Museum of Art

“An ardent fisherwoman, Julia Andrews Bissell of Wilmington, Delaware, had this cashmere cardigan embellished with appliqués of trout, dragonflies, and stylized fishing poles cut from an Hermès silk scarf. She wore the cardigan only on fishing trips, in the evenings after changing from her fishing clothes.”

I’m glad ilya plays in Boston because literally nothing brings me more joy that imagining him driving on storrow drive. Full road rage in Russian. His fancy car doing 15 mph just like everyone else. He was born for this. His large iced extra extra dunks in his cupholder.

Ilya trying to make a left on comm ave and warren during rush hour. Mad no one will let him go because he’s the fucking captain they love him in this city he’s a hero.

Ilya losing his shit over space savers and how stupid everyone gets when it snows.

Ilya correcting all his teammates who live in Lexington and waltham when they say they live in Boston.

A delight. He’d love it here it’s a city of assholes with good hearts.

I love your "they ring the same bells for weddings and funerals" tag bc I work as a bell-ringer at one of the few churches in my city where you still have to ring the bell manually. and we do ring the same bell whether it's a wedding or a funeral! but ☝️ we also ring it if the local sports team wins at sports (the secret third thing that is neither a wedding nor a funeral)
