When I was a kid, I remember seeing one of these in one of those Sonas/Siamsa/Spraoi/Súgragh annuals we’d get in school. For my non-Irish followers, these were given out around Christmas time and had stuff like stories and puzzles in them (in both English and Irish).
It was this same kind of statue (same pose and everything), but it was a different pony (Magic Marigold if I remember correctly?). Most likely from somewhere in Ireland, but who knows.
Does anyone else remember this or have any info on it? I remember going back to that page just to admire how pretty the statue was!
