OKAY SO Halloween was my friend’s birthday (don’t think she has a tumblr but she’s @theninacafaro on instagram) and every year for like 3 years I have drawn her a Jasper, sO!!! I was not about to break the tradition even though I’m a wee bit late. >:3c

Anyway I really wanted to draw some ~angst~ involving Jasper, so my brain came up with this scenario: (Steven Universe spoilers below the cut! Though I guess the image is somewhat of a spoiler in itself but Pink and Jasper have not ever interacted on-screen when I’m posting this)!

Everett believed in her, even when she was still acting horrible… Even when she thought she was horrible. Even when she couldn’t believe she was anything else. But because he believed in her, she was able to believe in herself too, and be something better. That’s why making this story was special to me. :’) I hope you enjoyed this, everyone!

Oh, and I know I left it open, so you’re probably wondering why Kaia’s parents sent her away… I assure you there’s a reason in my head, but it wouldn’t be revealed till much later in her story! And I may or may not be re-thinking the reason, but! Rest assured, she is sent away to live with Everett and his family, and there is an actual reason for it! Which I will most likely reveal eventually. B-)

Hey all! Here’s the cover of the Zine I made (and sold at MoCCA Fest in April). It’s based on my 2 characters Kaia and Everett, and their struggle to understand each other (and themselves!). This is the story of how they first met and their early time together.
