have you ever stayed up late with someone texting or chatting and known as the hours ticked by that you’d be ridiculously tired in the morning but it didnt matter because it was really fun and totally worth losing sleep over just to laugh with someone and enjoy their company maybe and then the next day you keep tiredly recalling how much fun it was

HC that Jesper and Wylan have multiple offices/working spaces throughout the Van Eck estate.
While Wylan simply didnt want to use his fathers office for obvious reasons, fidgety perpetual movement Jesper needed an outlet for that energy or he risks falling back to old habits
Jesper would sit and read to Wylan for the rest of his days without complaint out of love but to say it wouldn’t be a struggle to sit in one place day after day would be a lie
They have enough rooms and space to make multiple work locations, so why not?
They work in the garden, they work in the music room, the kitchen, the living room, heck even the main hallway on occasion so Jesper can people watch
They find a balance that works for them
Wylan grateful that Jesper reads to him as if its no big deal and Jesper thankful that Wylan understood him enough to know how to make it not only feasible but enjoyable

Listen, I don’t want to make it look like protecting one’s anonymity online isn’t fundamental and imperative, okay, but Lyde’s the 4th person I became online friend with then got the chance to meet face to face, and I am not regretting it any more than I did the previous times (I am however delighted and so thankful 🫶).
It’s a wonderful thing to be able to turn a long-distance friendship, if I may say so, into an in-person one even briefly, and I wish the experience on all tumblrinas 💛
