Yoshiaki Sukeno's Sousei no Onmyouji (Twin Star Exorcist) manga ended in Jump SQ.'s October issue on Wednesday. The 134th chapter marked the conclusion of the manga's nearly 11-year run.

Sukeno began serializing the action fantasy manga in Jump SQ in November 2013, four months after completing Binbougami ga! (Good Luck Girl!). Shueisha published the 34th volume on July 4, with the 35th and final volume planned for a November 1 release. Sousei no Onmyouji has a cumulative 7.5 million copies of its volumes in circulation.

A 50-episode television anime produced by animation studio Pierrot aired from Spring 2016 to Winter 2017. Crunchyroll simulcast the anime with English subtitles and dub. Funimation released the anime on four Blu-ray discs between July 2018 and January 2019.

VIZ Media licensed the manga in English and released the 31st volume on May 21, with the 32nd volume scheduled to go on sale on November 19. Shueisha's Manga Plus platform also simulpublished the manga in English.

Hajime Tanaka penned three side story light novels under Shueisha's Jump J-Books imprint from August 2016 to December 2018, featuring illustrations by Sukeno.

Synopsis
For centuries, terrifying creatures—known as "Kegare"—from the parallel realm Magano have wreaked havoc throughout Japan. The brave men and women resisting their onslaught are secretive exorcists whose one and only goal is to eradicate all the Kegare.

In the present day, 14-year-old Rokuro Enmadou is a talented and powerful exorcist. However, a tragic event in the past caused him to resent exorcists and give up his dream of becoming the strongest. In stark contrast to him, Benio Adashino is a beautiful and prodigious exorcist of the same age who carries the hopes and dreams of all people.

These two teenagers, despite their differences, are the prophesied "Twin Star Exorcists": the two people destined to give birth to the Miko—the exorcist who will vanquish the Kegare and cleanse the world of all impurities. But as the adolescents are both far from maturity, let alone adulthood, only hardships and trials await the unlikely heroes. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

Was one of those cases that anime adaptation was so bad and it's ruined the original source (manga)
I recommend to read manga it not even little like anime(anime is childish while manga is +18)

@zennino This is classic battle shonen, it was never aimed at people over 18 years of age.

@RobertBoberti have 2 questions from you:
1. Have you ever read sno manga(not watching anime)
2. Do you consider demon slayer for children?(despite it's being rated +17in mal)

I like this manga a lot and will probably reread/binge it at some time (forgot a lot of side characters and plots over the years).
It really sucks this already got an anime adaptation since it was terrible and the chances for a separate full adaptation are basically zero.

I was hoping the anime would get a sequel one day, but now the manga has ended, there's no chance of that happening anymore. And it's too early for a remake too.

@zennino Yes, Demon Slayer is aimed at teenage children. Like any battle shonen manga. This 17+ rating belongs to the Western localization of the manga, Japanese and Western standards are different if you did not already know this. Try searching for Japanese news about the popularity of the DS after the first season premiered, many of them are about 13+ kids. And yes, I've been reading shonen manga since the days when Bleash and Naruto were ongoing. But even if I hadn’t read it, it wouldn’t change the fact that shonen isn’t aimed at the adult demographic.

@wildhood It all depends on how popular and relevant the original manga is at the moment.

Shonen fans need to stop being so insecure. Shonen is aimed at older kids and teens in Japan. No need to be ashamed about it.

ANYWAYS

I've never considered Twin Star Exorcists to be a top tier Jump manga, but I had fun reading it.
