| This episode shows everything I really hate about this series. It uses cheap emotional tricks, shock value, and over the top trauma to pretend it’s deep and meaningful. The animation and direction are great, and you can see how a normally calm, subtle director had to go more obvious here. It still works in some scenes, using contrast well like he’s done before with directors like Toshimasa Ishii. But since this is Takopii, it also has to include disturbing, uncomfortable parts. If Mori had directed the whole thing, maybe he would’ve toned that down, but with what he was given, I think he did the best he could without making it too gross. As for the twist with time travel, alternate timelines, and Takopi forgetting his original mission (“original sin,” nice title drop I guess), t’s all just dumb. Marina’s mom is mad over something ridiculous. Shizuka is now somehow the real villain for killing a boy who liked her. Takopi’s home world and logic make no sense. And Takopi himself is still super annoying and totally out of place in tone. It’s all just so stupid. Like the abused kids absorbing the trauma around them, Takopi’s return to the “happy” world just feels even darker.... ... all because now he’s carrying all that pain and still no one’s talking honestly about anything. |

| You know the episode is going to be bad when it starts off all happy and enjoying the blue sky with the bright sun 😭 Shizuka sneaks off and Takopii seems as clueless as her as well, No way the Dad goin do Shizuka dirty like that seeing her all messed up and broken... What a plot twist in the end he was back in the past and trying to help Marina the whole timeeeeeeeeeeeeee. I don't even know what to say anymore this show is so unique and has so many twists I don't know what to predict anymore, all I know is Marina better have a happy ending |

| I'm at work and the internet package I use to watch episodes has run out! I feel betrayed… Aaaah! I’m so excited for this episode. Looks like I’ll have to go somewhere else to watch it! I’ll comment on it in an hour or two. update: I don’t like time-based anime—time skips, time travel, flashbacks, and all that… :( I completely lose focus and just can’t understand anything. It feels like I’m watching a totally different anime. So I’ll be honest: this episode felt average to me. Maybe some people saw it as a plot twist or something like that, but to me, it was an episode that kind of made the story lose its spark… As for Shizuka—her violence was totally unjustified! “Give me the dog or I’ll get violent”? I don’t get it anymore. Yes, she’s deeply attached to the dog, but not to this bizarre extent. Honestly, I see this more as a psychological disorder than something rational or understandable. Anyway! Just look at how the episode started—so cheerful and full of laughter 👇👇 |

| I guessed the trip to Tokyo wouldn't be a happy one, but not Chappy....Shizuka's dad is of course trash. That's obligatory for the adults. The Marina twist doesn't comes as a big shocker, more so the fact that Takopii intended to kill Shizuka. The flashback was still surprisingly bloody even for this series. Now we definitely need that reset happy ending for both Shizuka and Marina. Beyond crazy if you still hate on the latter at this point. |

| Oh my God, just when I thought last week was the best directed episode of the year, they come back with something even better. Masterclass. Artistry of the highest level and what a fucking twist, hats off to the author this is how you tell a story. Type of shit Game of Thrones used to do consistently. I stand by my support of Shizuka, though, especially after that first half, but I do concede Marina is also a victim and they both had the misfortune of being born to the worst parents. The opening of the episode is so cute with Takopi and Shizuka exploring Tokyo that you’d never guess she’s fleeing a murder charge lmao. People will really watch Shizuka go to her dad’s place and see him deny his OWN DAUGHTER in front of his other kids and try to tell me Shizuka’s crash out isn’t valid lmao. Her own fucking father deadass didn’t even let his kid in the apartment and wouldn’t even introduce her to her sisters. Most likely, she’s the result of an extramarital affair and he probably paid off Shizuka’s mom to keep quiet about it/take care of the kid, which she likely spends on herself. Chappy was likely never there either. You have a girl in Shizuka who her own parents don’t want, she gets bullied nonstop, lives in filth, teachers don’t gaf about her, of course she’s gonna start killing people including takopi when he tries to leave her. Like people only have so far they can be pushed before they snap. Society failed her. It’s not even one of those situations where you could be like “well she could want better for herself” because she’s literally only known abuse and suffering, she doesn’t even know what goals to set to get out of her predicament. Ok, so from what I’m gathering, this high school marina timeline is the OG timeline and the first 4 episodes were the result of takopi going back to kill Shizuka but having lost his memory. He realized Shizuka wasn’t really evil and she herself was being abused and that marina was genuinely cruel to her, sided with Shizuka and we know the rest. Seeing marina’s story was incredibly sad, but it didn’t really tell me anything new. We already knew her mother needed to die and thank God she’s gone. Idc what issues she had, she needed to die and my only regret is marina didn’t too quickly The direction in that scene again.. just awe inspiring man I can’t praise this studio enough.. the fact Azuma is STILL a simp for Shizuka in this timeline tho is crazy lmao. I just knew some shit was going to go down when he left Marina for Shizuka as soon as he saw her like wtf?? What sort of magic spell does she have on him. So Takopi’s original sin was going against God and going back into the past. What should he have done then? Did he not have the camera to rewind to an earlier checkpoint before Marina killed her mom or should he have just let his friend kill herself? I really don’t see what he did as bad even though it ended up being worse. Can’t wait to see how this ends next week man I need an hour finale. |

| @RaidenSteiner If you’re still trying to label one of them as the villain, you might end up saying the ending was bad — just because it doesn’t match your idea of who deserved to be the bad guy. But that’s not what this story is about. It’s about emotionally unstable kids trapped in tragic circumstances, and being forced to grow up way too soon. |

| Amazing episode, that scene where Shizuka apparently kills or (attemps to kill) Takopi was crazy. I cried too much for Marina in this episode. Shizuka went too far because of this cycle with her parents. The fact that Takopi wanted to help Marina but ended up killing her was so heartbreaking. |

This episode reminded me that the world is not black or white. There are no good guys or bad guys just the perspectives of everyone. Marina lost her family and crush however she goes to the far extreme and bullies Shizuka to the point where she kills herself. On the other hand Shizuka is manipulative and a psychopath but also lost her dog (her one and only companion), dad essentially abandoning her, and her mom spending so little time with her it’s like she doesn’t exist. Because of all of this you can’t really support one or the other without feeling guilt for the other. It’s now at this point you can support one but the other would need to die.

so this anime is about to end kinda lukewarm. I can tell. Because I know dradass Takopi ain't killing Shizuka. It'd going to end like "weee! Azuma is going to save them with Takopi" well good anime but I'll have to take off a point if that's the case. And I wish the anime had more to it than just 6 episodes.

| Hands down best executed episode of this series , on par with EP1. The 180 turnback of the whole scenario is what makes the whole thing ingenious And now we know what's the original sin of Takopi truly is. |

| @MadanielFL You clearly don't get the message of the show. There's no real villain here , your surrounding/circumstance/ parents shape who you are. Shizuka adapt the seductive nature of her mom ruining other people's relationship. Marina adapted her mom's violence /bullying, and tendency to blame others for things that doesn't go her way, which is no better than Shizuka. Takopi's ignorance is the result of Happy planet Mother's dictatorship. She removes/reset citizen's memory if they didn't turn out the way she wants them to behave/ become, so Takopi is no better than Shizuka and Marina too. |

| The dynamic intro is so good. It felt like Shizuka was the happiest in that moment than ever before in the series so far. But of course, it all came crashing down. I was surprised how fast that was. Man... Shizuka was able to find her dad pretty easily. Like I imagined, he already moved on and has a new family... That's so unfair to Shizuka... And of course, Chappy was put down but Shizuka couldn't accept that. Now she thinks her half-siblings ate him... She completely lost it. Then came the real twist. I dunno what to say. I already knew there was some kind of time-traveling shenanigan going on. But to think Takopi or Nueinukf came from the future year of 2022 and was originally supposed to help Marina-chan... Man... The mention of the year 2022 and Covid made me jump. Don't think I've seen Covid mentioned in an anime before... It still feels recent but it was actually 3 years ago... Wtf. Takopi originally being with Marina is a twist I didn't see coming but it makes so much sense. But man, there's not a single good parent in this series, are there? I thought at least Takopi's mom would be intelligent. But she doesn't even know what "killing" is? Bruh. I'm really skeptical about the Happian's competence. I thought Takopi was the only idiot because he was childish and didn't understand humans well. But I feel like his whole species might be morons. Or maybe humans are just that complicated compared to other aliens. There's so much to unpack in this episode... "I stand with Shizuka." "I stand with Marina." Fuck that. I thought the message from the very beginning of the show was that both Shizuka and Marina should be friends and deserve happy lives. Easier said than done. But neither of them deserves the hell they're going through. You can argue about who's better all you want but the reality is both of them are terrible. Marina was the bully first so it's easier to hate her. But from episode 3 it was clear that Shizuka is manipulative and psychopathic. So both of them are pieces of shit. But dammit I wanna see both of them be happy because none of the things they did are completely their fault. It's not black and white. It's ironic how Takopi went back in time to kill Shizuka only to kill Marina instead. Wonder why he had amnesia. Did his mom at least partially make him forget who he was? Anyway, there's only one episode left but I have no idea how it's going to end. Only one week to find out. This was the biggest surprise of the season for me. |

Yeah, I'm also kinda confused on the timeline for the Azuma scene at the very end. I'm hoping it'll be explained next ep, but I think your idea makes sense! Either that or Takopi escaped back to there somehow.
