A lot of prep talk this episode.

I do hope Uta got the most from her talk with Mizyaki though. Between them, there's a gap in musical experience so it's something she can learn from.

Decent episode
Uta has a lot to think about after her little chat with Mizyaki.

I thought the song at the end of the episode was pretty good. I might add it to my music streaming service.

Uta is so lucky to get advice from her older sister's group that so happens to be one the biggest acapella bands! She definitely learned alot of points to communicate it with her group aswell especially as they get more distant, messy and their leader slowly losing motivation all at the same time is just so sad to see 😔

nice we got to see Parabola perform but ngl the mixing was kinda bad like the bgm was louder than their voices and it was just all over the place. It only goes up from here 🙏

The song at the end was good, helped to showcase the gap in skill between Uta's club and Parabola. Airi's little talk on the roof was a bit concerning, she almost sounded like she wanted to jump off of it.

It isn't hard to see how Uta is being inspired by her better-off older sister Rikka Sengoku in her pop music band to do the same. And with a new semester, the new song "Garnet" with Musubu as lead vocal, no matter her toxic personality, the others decide to work together, even when the situation is clear otherwise, as is Uta suddenly ranting to Airi all of a sudden.

Uta going to her lil sis's pop music band Parabola to ask for help, feels like a big reach, but it's no biggie from their leader Mizuki Fujishiro who is more willing to share hers and the other members' inputs in going pro with a cappella, even when the truth hurts. Despite that and not understanding much, Uta still wants to be her ownself working at her own angle with the a cappella club, and that for her, is the best.

Compared to the a cappella club, Parabola's got some style and substance...it's just, wow.

TBH, Uta's sis's group is pretty much "the industry"

Where skill and money is valued more than friendship, lol

Since they will literally force ANYONE to leave if they sucked, doesn't matter how friendly you are, if you suck, you're out.

I can already see Uta's group ending up the same if she took her sis's group advice on becoming Pro seriously. AKA Uruu's leaving for a short while was a foreshadow of what their group might end up as if they pursue Pro instead of staying as a friendship group that would support each other regardless how suck the other member is. which as we've seen, Musubu is part of that aspiring to be "Pro" and doesn't care if the other members leave.

Which as Uta's sis's members said, they don't actually care about each other as long as the other members are good enough for them and doesn't drag them down. As shown by how they said they've already forced dozens of others to leave, yet they're all happy about it.

So while the "skill gap" between Uta and her sis's group is there. it's also a "friendship gap", as Uta's group somewhat cares more about each other, as shown by how they can still reconcile and group up again. Whereas Uta's sis's "pro group" just ends all friendships.
