Hey guys~ It's me! HimeCrycho!
I watch all kinds of anime. You are likely to see some random obscure anime on my profile because I watch a lot of things for challenges. I really like a mixed bag of things. The only thing I really couldn't care less for is avant garbage :P very rare exceptions to that one. For other hobbies outside of anime, I like to try out new recipes. Nothing like some yummy food to go with your anime, am I right? xD

I don't think I have any specific goals tbh, just hopefully catch up with a lot I still need to and watch some new stuff too! Will hit 1600 for sure, but 1700 or a milestone beyond might end up feeling like quite the push. What are you planning for your goals?
I have to say, you've piqued my interest with all three, with Snow White perhaps the most. Unfortunately though, I still haven't began watching either of them, so I cannot glaze your choices. For now.
Once again, thanks for the recommendations. I'll make sure to try at least one of them soon, or this year at least.
Have a great 2026

As you can see, America got Star Ocean 2 long before its precursor. Till The End of Time came out in 2003 or 3 years before Tri-Ace released Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria. The first Valkyrie Profile on PS1 had those 4Kids actors that we grew up with.
Yes, The Last Hope came out in the same year as Tales of Versperia or 2008. Its graphics are still pretty detailed after all these years.
I have yet to play Star Ocean 5-7, but I trust those former Tales of Phantasia developers. Yep! They quit Namco and made Tri-Ace later in the 90s. I think that Tri-Ace is owned by a Japanese tech company, but they'll continue to make games for a variety of hardware. I also like that Tri-Ace is pro-multiplatform since PS3 and 360 were around.
Given that you have a PS5, Star Ocean: The Divine Force and Second Story R (the only Star Ocean remake) may be available to you anytime.
It must have been a bug prior to the Phantom Liberty expansion pack. That expansion pack should have been the original game.
You're welcome, by the way. Hopefully, those Star Ocean games for PS5 get a discount, but Tri-Ace themselves are nice to consumers or their fanbase. I wish that Nintendo could see customers that way like them.
Correct, though I did get a Norton Crystolon cheaper on that site than on Amazon. Constantly ripping people off over quality whetstones like the Naniwa Chosera and they ripped off a left-handed Youtuber one time over Crystals he wanted to show in his video. I'll definitely avoid Temu and I rather buy Japanese waterstones when I go to Japan. Pretty far state though and I prefer natural fabrics to polyester. Cotton, leather or hemp over polyester for hot work. Fire and polyester simply don't mix. High performance PET is my preferred polymer fabric because it's real strong.
Heart Gold has so much content and difficulty that doesn't exist in Crystal. I do love Crystal though, that game after Star Ocean 2 where the player can choose a female character. If only Ghost of Yotei had gone the way of Mulan in that cartoon. Now that would have made a difference.
I put Rena from Star Ocean 2 over Mary Sue characters guaranteed. Rena is also very relatable with a tragic past she forgot about because of cryogenic dormancy. A semitomboy from Indiana in her late 30s (haven't heard from her in a while) probably loved Second Story growing up because of players having the choice to play as Rena. Chisato, Opera and Celene are my absolute favorite characters in that game.
I'm pretty sure that The Last Hope has a brown-eyed female archer who clearly isn't Mary Sue. I also love the fact that Laura Bailey voiced that futuristic archer character with brown eyes. I thought bows were classified as primitive weapons. Other than that, Star Ocean 3 was the longest that I know because I spent so much time customizing items and weapons. The first Star Ocean game with real voice acting and the first one with Wendee Lee.
Star Ocean is definitely the franchise that really handles character development of fictional women. Tri-Ace does a good job giving female characters personalities and soul. They used to work for Namco in the 90s.
Other than that, the layoffs in Rockstar is unbelievable, I agree. I'm more open to other future games than just GTA6 TBQH. Cyberpunk 2077 was the closest thing to GTA and Deus Ex earlier this decade.
Hmm! Early January is more or less the same age December. Hopefully, I'll feel the difference later this month or around Chinese New Year which means that Asia will be partying very loudly. May Sanae Kobayashi and Kia Asamiya have a happy birthday later this month. Yes, Yoshiyuki Sadamoto as well and I'm glad that he participated in Dot Hack games as a character designer.
More importantly, you deserve Vitamin D3 and better medicine. I also got sick because of brimstone from volcanoes and polluted central Mexican air leading the cold to me (the dry season continues). I swear that the cold is taking advantage of air pollution. I need a homestead with clean air with decent humidity. I really hate dry air, dry and polluted. Yes, my condition is weather-dependent.
Thank you for spending time on elfing
for Secret Santa as usual ✨
Hope you'll have a great 2026!

Wish you a year of happiness,
health, and new beginnings.
hope you had a nice Christmas!
I've been playing Heart Gold this winter.
That kinda candy is good at any time heh
2026 is said to be a promising year for gaming.
I also hope that Aki Shimizu's Suikoden 3 manga will be announced for an anime adaptation next year.
ah, that's cool that you hit it early! I did think you seemed a fair amount beyond it already haha! I didn't really have a personal goal although I did also recently hit 1500 completed! I saw you do a lot of watching challenges type stuff, I have enjoyed doing those in the past also but haven't done one for a while! I like that it usually gets me to try stuff I wouldn't have otherwise got around to for a long time. Are you part of any cool challenges atm?
