Unlike most people, I liked the season. What I disliked the most though is the almost complete absence of Saitama. He had a cameo in each episode, all the way up until the end when he FINALLY had some screen time. Unfortunately he was even more clueless (if that's possible) and friend-zoned by everyone. There was mor time spend by characters discussing Saitama then his actual screen time.

The look and feel was different from previous seasons, with much of the animation looking like a power-point presentation. It's obvious there were massive budget and production cuts. But it was still an interesting watch, even if it ... was not a worthy successor to the previous seasons. Compared to season 1, it's trash.

It's obvious the stories are great, but it's also obvious that the studio refuses to spend any money on it.

100% "meh." It started out interesting enough but devolved into a generic OP protagonist who's clueless about the opposite sex, a sister with a brother kink, really low frame animation and almost zero sound track. It was a good filler, but one of those where I'll watch a 2nd season but really don't care if it has one.

The animation was pretty bad towards the end - his "flying" looked like a 1950's effect where they just dragged an image across the background. Cheesy and looked as bad as it sounds.

If you really don't care about quality, plot or anything else and have time to waste ... - go for it.

OK, this is one of the most bizarre anime I have even seen - and I've watched close to 1,000 series. It's basically a George A. Romero fever dream if he had an obsession with everything cat. It's hilarious. It takes every single zombie movie and trope and turns it on its, er, tail. The series embraces its absurdity and runs with it. Climbs with it and plays with it. Even the title of the final episode is an homage to Richard Matheson's zombie novel - and the plot obviously revolves around an Umbrella like corporation. Instead of guns, we have super-soakers. In this alternate ... universe, people love cats to an almost unhealthy extreme - so much so, that even when facing a choice - harm a cat or change into one, nobody can harm the furballs. If you've ever been adopted by a cat, you'll really get a kick out of this series. If you're a dog person, it's still fun, but not as much.

The first episodes were amazing. The animation was fantastic and the episodes were captivating. Fast-forward to the final episodes, and the animation was pretty much a powerpoint presentation, flat and laughably bad. "Epic" battles were a total joke with terrible animation, pathetic sound effects and a joke of a plot. It's like they blew 70% of the budget on the first three episodes, then spent progressively less on each episode until the end. No joke - the thing gets that bad towards the end. Will there be a season 2? Who cares. The First few episodes were a 9. The final few were a solid ... 2.

Need a show to introduce your kids to Anime? This is it. Looking for a wholesome, almost too sappy anime? Here it is. Half the time it's almost a version of Sesame Street. So why would an adult watch it? It was cute and funny. Animation and voice acting were top-notch and the music was an integral part of the show, not just background. It's a world where gods appear to people they favor and grand their "blessings", basically raising them up above others. Which is ironic, since the show is about a noble who condemns how they are raised up above others by birth. ... But one thing this show does NOT encourage is thought - just sit back and relax, put your grey matter on pause and enjoy the show.

This is what I'd call the sleeper anime of the season. I found it by accident and watched the first episode mainly because of the title. Ever seen "Planetarium"? Same vibe. Except Earth is 100% devoid of animal life. Just plants and robots, and gradually, aliens. The owner of the Gingaro Hotel left his robot staff with one basic set of commands, basically a 10 commandments of hotel hospitality. This is a heart-string tugging, laugh out loud, yell at the screen series. If you've ever lost someone dear to you, you'll be crying at a couple of episodes because they handle it perfectly. But you'll ... also laugh during the same episodes - they're that clever.

100% do not miss this series. The animation is fantastic, the voice acting (I watch the sub) spot-on, the plots and storytelling top-notch. One episode they go all-out Kill La Kill and it's hilarious. Another one is basically entirely culture shock inspired poop jokes - sounds bad, but again, not the way they doo-doo it.

It's one of the few anime this season I really look forward to seeing. Each episode is a continuation of the previous one, but still stands alone. There's only a few epic-battles, but even the world-destroying critters are cute. The Gingaro staff will make you laugh and cry and make the time fly by.

It's a series where you'll want another season - but you don't need it. They wrapped it up so well with the ideal blend of angst and humor, and answered all the unanswered questions. And shower hats. It always comes down to shower hats. The final few seconds? Laugh-out-loud.

Right in the middle - nothing special, but not bad. Animation is that annoying style where anyone that's not a main character does not even have a face. Half the "animation" is pan and scan, so many scenes are like looking at a manga page someone is moving a camera over. The characters are 100% cookie cutter generic fluff, and the protagonist is your typical OP clueless teenager. But the author thinks they are clever and original, and it's - gasp! - a girl. That's the plot in a nutshell. Clueless girl with near super-powers has all the cute guys chasing her.

I almost feel generous ... giving it a 6, but it's a decent time-killer and fun. Albeit bizarrely animated. Seriously - how can they kiss with noses that look like they can slice bread? And of course everyone is chasing everyone else trying to get together, but they are all so clueless that it's a wonder there will even be a next generation. Maybe they are counting on the rabbit gods to save the species?

Sound is decent, score is forgettable, animation is average. Nothing stands out as especially good or terrible. If you need to waste a few hours, it's worth a watch. But I'd watch the 7th Prince or Raising Kids if I had to choose.

If you're over 35 you'll love this series. If you're younger you probably can't connect with it and that's obvious by the number of "Not Recommended" reviews. It's an anime with a more mature outlook on life - not in the ecchi sense - there's zero fanservice. It's the outlook on life. The main character - the titular "Bumpkin" is not OP, just skilled from a life of dedication to the sword. He's a teacher at heart. Modest to a fault, and is not jealous of the success of his students - he's genuinely happy for them. His female students love him and many ... fawn over him, but he sees them as daughters. He's not clueless, just confused. The "I'm older than their father" type of confused, not the "what do I do with a girl" that's so common in today's anime.

The animation is pretty good - not a lot of pan and scan - actual motion and parallax. Sound and voices are great - I watched the sub. The subs were, er, sub-par and they totally flubbed the sword fight at then end. I had to go back and read them three times and they still made no sense.

There was a lot of character development and loose ends, so it's obvious they are hoping for at least another season. I'm looking forward to it

This is another one to watch if you have nothing better to do. The lack of movement in the animation is off-putting. Look at Shangri La Frontier - where 20 minutes is dedicated to a single fight in amazing detail. Same with Failure Frame - the animation detail is exquisite. Then you have this - that's almost like a flip-page animation, but with even less frames. The story is decent, but the most interesting character - and one I would have liked to have more of was the white dragon. You'll know why if you see this anime. No spoilers. It's pretty bad when an ... anime series is so mediocre that a minor character is more interesting than the protagonist.

The voice acting and sound is good, gore is mostly handled with silhouettes, and it ends with a typical "off on a new journey" final that is obviously counting on another season. But honestly, I don't care one way or another. If another season comes out I'll watch it, but if it does not, I won't care.

There's nothing special, unique or that stands out - it's a forgettable cookie-cutter isekai with an OP hero in the making.

Just completed it and it's 100% "meh." I needed something to fill in the gaps to do my "watch two different anime...." every day. That's 14 a week. So this was not in my top 5 or bottom 5. Right in the middle, and that's where it deserved to be. No "I wish there will be a season 2" as one season was enough. Animation was average at best, voice acting was good, but the plot was 100% cookie cutter and a clone of a dozen other "unaware that they are OP" protagonist series. You know the ones - everything the hero of the ... story does is nearly god-like, amazing and awe-insuring, but the hero has no idea and thinks it's normal. But everyone around him is so honest and caring that nobody takes advantage of him. We've seen this how many times now?

Yet he can't see through an illusion he basically created? Is this amazing but seems to have an IQ of 80? Each episode piles on more and more absurdities - past the point of "that's cool" past the point of "come on already" and solidly into "enough is enough already..." It's brain-numbing time killer that fills in the spaces between great anime and "why did I even watch this?" series - although it comes darn close to that.

If you want action - skip it. Amazing fight scenes? Skip it. Slice of live with every adult woman having the hots for a 14 year old kid? It has that. Want to turn off your grey matter for 20 minutes or so? This will do it.
