Yuan Long is a Chinese donghua where MC, a chinese infantryman isekais in the middle of a sky dive into an Ancient Chinese world that uses qi and cultivation. Wang Shen, becomes a target of a large family when he kills the young master of that family and claims to be the Fiance of the girl he just met which stirs trouble among the noble families. The noble families order the couple to be captured or killed which pisses off Wang Shen to the point of using his military combat prowess on his enemies.


Story: 8/10
The beginning is eye catching and straight to the point, killing smallfry opponents above Wang Shen's league using the power of modern firearm and military tactics. All while slowing progressing romance between him and his 'fake' love interest. His battle ready MRE attracts a powerful ally that covets tasty food.

Art & Sound: 7/10
This donghua has some good details and animation fluidity. The character hairs have their own physics. The audio is normal, nothing outstanding.

Character : 7/10
The characters are fairly shallow, many of them only exist to serve as stepping stones for Wang Shen to destroy. It is still interesting seeing his combat abilities as a modern soldier being put to the test against cultivators.

Overall:8/10
The series isn't that in depth with detail, but it is fairly addictive to watch. All the modern tools he uses and primitive characters confused on their purposes is the main reason why I rate this show highly. It shares some similarities with GATE which is one of my personal favorites.
