Atop the forgotten peak I stand
Where serpents once ruled
Power of the scepter in my hand
Where kings were once fooled
We make our return
Overlook the scorched land
Without concern
A legacy that cannot stand
Must be admonished
Brandish our flames
Upon those who seek to find
A fortune that has been
Forgotten by time
Obliteration has ensued
Their end now ensured
With our ghastly fire
We destroy the sons
We destroy the crier

Never will he fall
On horseback rides the archer
His weapon held high
A deadly rain of flaming spirits
Their call is soothing
To tormented creatures
Of the false holy god
But on he rides
Instrument held high
996 mile strides
Scorching the night sky
The blackest leather shines
By the blaze of moonlight
Cloaked by the Pleiades
The serpent stretched out
Through the vault of the sky
His jaws clasp ever tight To his tail
Through the eyes of the unconscious
The archetypes come to be
No time passes
Yet the light fades
Saturn's darkest month has come
The archer draws its power
Far behind his head
Pointed to the northern lights
his instrument harnesses the tension
And releases his occurséd arrows
996 miles
The evasive prey an inferior creature
Cowers in fear hidden away
The arrows They fly
A millennium of time
And yet he slips away
Impaired by the curses
Persisting by diaphanous thread
A vermin that should be dead
An unjust miracle wasting away
The time will come when the light fades
The hunter with his horned helmet
Once more does he seek the vermin
A last communion with the stars
grants him passage through their realm
Once more does he take up his instrument
Armed with a single occurséd arrow
He reaches down to earth
Seeking his wounded prey
Hidden deep in darkness
The foolish creature
Feels the archers presence
The mighty steed carries
The weight of Saturn
As he buries the arrow
996 miles

A vast question remains unanswered
Black as the lake
It seeps into his lantern
A foggy flame begins to take
Only can he see
The shadows cast by lonesome dreams
A fortress hidden deep beneath
From which a spreading hatred grows
Dipping into this black lake
Each stranger finds an answer
Beyond the gates
The inquisitor calls
A final question
That cannot be answered
By a mortal soul
Only in eternity
Can the answer be found
But a whisper from the dark
Tells of another path
Forgotten by the false
Remembered by the pure
The one true way
Recovered from the past
An amulet lost
It’s power must be tamed
A vast question remains unanswered
Black as the lake
It seeps into his lantern
A foggy flame begins to take
Only can he see
The shadows cast by lonesome dreams
A fortress hidden
Walk a thousand miles
Upon scorched earth
Only to find
The shadows cast
By lonesome dreams
