Volume 1 featured a collection of classic breaks. For Volume 2, I wanted to dig a bit deeper so have used less well known funk breaks and pitched, chopped and sequenced them to create the sort of breaks used by pioneers like Wax Doctor, 4 Hero etc., the sort of breaks that work really well when layered with classic breaks. Of course, I had to put in some AMENS, and a few other classic breaks too. They all have the S950 sheen on them, which gives them the retro aesthetic.

The pads are mostly 'golden era' pads I have created by layering classic synths like the JV-1080. JD-800, M1 and the D-50. By creating layers triggered by the same midi notes, you get some really deep pads.

This is definitely the longest sample pack project yet... it took a while!
