'Blackened Sky' is the 2nd single from the upcoming album 'Hellsolation'. Mixed and mastered by Gábor Vári at Miracle Sound Studio. Artwork by Sonny Szalay.

Blackened Sky is a story about a person who climbs up on a mountain with all his effort in order to find the meaning of his life. On his way, he fights against physical obstacles put against him by nature like unbearable cold and extreme heights that he tries to overcome, while he also struggles with his mind. He goes through devouring thoughts in his head every second of every minute as in his mind he tries to defeat social expectations and the pressure on his shoulders created by society (or himself?). When he reaches the top, he finds absolute solitude and strength. There is only him and the endless sky there.

The song is the second single from Nest of Plagues’ third concept album ‘Hellsolation’ being released this September. The album deals with social problems and creates a metaphor for the struggles that we all go through every day. In the video of Blackened Sky, the band visualizes how vulnerable and helpless a person can be while life hurdles problems at them - they just stand silently and bear the pain while they’re constantly hit in the face by ‘bombs’. In spite of the serious lyrical message, they don’t break away from their eclecticism - the video got a trash horror image and doesn’t neglect humour either.
