I was charged $216 for an annual renewal that I did not expect and believed had already been canceled during the trial period. It is my standard practice to cancel any subscription I am testing before the trial ends, which is why this charge was surprising.
I did not receive any advance notice or reminder that the subscription would renew. Had I received one, I would have canceled immediately. When I contacted customer support right away, I was told refunds are not provided due to their terms and conditions, despite the lack of renewal notification.
I recommend others to not even sign up for the "free trial." Charging customers without a clear renewal reminder and then refusing a refund is a disappointing experience.

I have been a paying customer of Later.com since May 2025, consistently posting three times per week using the same automated workflow without issues.
On Thursday, January 29, 2026, the way my Instagram posts were being scheduled and published suddenly changed. Nothing on my end changed — no new setup, no new account, no different process. The system simply stopped working the way it had been working reliably up until Tuesday, January 27, 2026.
I contacted Later.com technical support and provided a screen-recorded video clearly showing the issue. Unfortunately, instead of addressing the actual technical problem or restoring the workflow to how it previously functioned, support repeatedly stated that Instagram updated its API in 2023. This explanation is irrelevant to my situation, as:
I subscribed in 2025
The system worked correctly for months
The issue appeared suddenly in January 2026
The only solution offered was a workaround that adds extra manual steps, removes automation, and defeats the entire purpose of paying for Later.com in the first place.
Because the service no longer works as it did when I signed up — and the issue cannot be resolved in a way that maintains the original automated functionality — I requested a refund for the remainder of my plan as an exception. This request was denied, despite the platform no longer delivering the service as originally sold.
I am not asking for anything unreasonable — simply a refund for a system that no longer functions as promised and cannot be restored.
Very disappointed with both the technical support response and the refusal to take responsibility when the platform changes break long-standing workflows.

Support claimed they sent “multiple reminder emails” but gave no proof and refused a refund, hiding behind a “non‑refundable” policy.
If they don’t return my $110 within 7 days, I’ll dispute the transaction with my bank and file complaints with consumer protection authorities.

Predatory subscriptions. I have NEVER experienced a subscription service like Later.
I have NEVER had a subscription based company behave this way (and as a business owner using all the major softwares to operate their business that's saying something).
They autobill without notifications - I received no notification my annual subscription was coming due. We did not have plans to continue with Later, and I was surprised to see it auto-renewed with no notifications. I reached out immediately to let them know I needed this cancelled and they refused. Its not a small fee as its an annual subscription.
They refused to provide a refund.
If they don't have a renewal notification - their non-refundable cancellation 'policy' is CLEARLY predatory.
I've looked into it further and it is illegal to renew a subscription without providing a notification of renewal as per the FTC in the USA and consumer protection laws throughout Canada.
Misleading Prices – Charged 8x More Than Shown
I recently tried Later for free, and when I was about to cancel my subscription, they offered me a new month for 110 DKK/month (about 14.40 USD). I accepted because the price seemed good, and I’m not even a company, so I didn’t want to pay more.
BUT the price they showed me wasn’t correct. It appeared in DKK, but they actually meant USD. So I was charged 140 USD, which is 905 DKK—almost eight times more than what they advertised! I genuinely thought that if I explained the mistake and made it clear that I’m just a single individual testing their product, they would let me pay the price I was offered. But no. I even had to pay for one more month before I could cancel the subscription.
So in total, I lost 1,800 DKK (280 USD) for nothing.
I strongly recommend everyone read their terms carefully, because you simply can’t trust the prices they display!

STRONG WARNING About Later...
Later is a platform we would highly caution small businesses against using. Based on our experience, there are several major issues that make it unsuitable:
1. Poor Integration with Major Social Media Platforms:
Later does not integrate effectively with platforms like Instagram or Facebook. If your goal is to manage all your social accounts in one place, Later is essentially useless. You would still need to leave Later, log into each platform individually, make edits to posts, or respond to comments and messages from customers. In other words, Later adds no efficiency—you might as well use the social media platforms directly.
2. Lack of Accessible Support
Later provides no quick or effective support. There is no dedicated email, telephone number, or real representative—only automated bots. This is not helpful for small businesses that are trying to learn and get assistance.
3. Free Trial Leads to Automatic Card Charges
When testing Later’s free trial, credit card details are required. However, within the first day of using the trial we discovering that many basic functions were unavailable and we decided not to continue with Later. However, we forgot to cancel the subscription— within the minute the trail was over Later immediately charged our card for a full year ($450 USD). Within seconds of getting the credit card notification via phone, we made MANY attempts to contact Later including by replying to the payment receipt email, but NOTHING!!
4. No Renewal Notifications
We've subscribed to many apps and services from the USA to China and India. Unlike all the platforms we've used thus far, including the big brands like Google and Apple, Later DOES NOT send reminders when a free trial is about to end or when a payment will be charged. Which gives you NO chance to quickly cancel.
5 Terms of Service Favour Later, Not Users
After days of trying to contact Later we finally reached a representative named Maria, she confirmed:
"As outlined in our Terms of Service, all paid plans are set to renew automatically unless canceled beforehand. This is presented during sign-up, and users agreed to it when subscribing. This is also the reason why we don’t send renewal notifications."
IN OTHER WORDS, by signing up for the free trial, you automatically agree to terms that allow Later to charge your credit card without any prior notice... so for us $450 USD is gone. This happened to us months ago and still to this day we DO NOT use LATER even though they charged our card for a full year ($450 USD)
Bottom Line
Later creates unnecessary complications for small businesses: poor platform integration, minimal support, and unexpected charges. We strongly advise caution before signing up or entering credit card details with companies like LATER.

I would give a zero if it was option, this company is a SCAM! They are disgusting and will steal your money and hard earned dollars. Should have know when they have absolutely zero contact information and the only way to reach someone is to chat with a bot. Their support manager Ben is zero help and needs a lesson in customer service. Your brand and name would go further if you actually cared about people. RUN do not waste your time, go with any other company!!!

NOK 1.000 for 75% Cabarat show (NOT Standup)
Paid almost NOK 1.000 for 2 people (no discount that I was supposed to get through OBOS membership). The show was supoosed to be 1 hr and 15 mins, but ended after 70 mins. I paid to watch a Standup show, but 75% of the show was singing and guitar playing.The rest was not particularly high quality either. I didn`t pay to see a musical or cabarat (as I hate that), so a dissappointing birthday present to my father 👎😞

The platform is busy, cluttered and inefficient. Be careful if you do a trial they absolutely will not refund you. I was charged a full year having missed the trial end date by a year and they refused to refund. $500 down the drain.

I tried Later after missing the trial cancellation window and gave it a fair shot, but the platform simply doesn’t work as promised. The Instagram thumbnail feature doesn’t function properly, posts often freeze or fail, and scheduling is so clunky I spent the same (or more) time posting as I would natively.
When I asked for a prorated refund, support refused, citing policy only—no flexibility or goodwill—even though the product has been unusable for standard social media needs. To make matters worse, they even asked me to help troubleshoot their tool instead of addressing the real issues.
Overall: unintuitive platform, unreliable features, and rigid customer service. I can’t recommend it.
No refund for any reason
I started a trial of several of these types of software at the same time to see which one fit my needs. I chose to go with a different platform but forgot to cancel my trial. I saw the charge go through within hours of it renewing, and emailed support requesting a refund. They responded their policy is no refunds. I replied back asking for it to be escalated as they can see I didn't ever even connect my social accounts (it didn't have the features I needed), let alone use it. Their refund policy states that there are no refunds BUT "Exceptions are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may be subject to early termination fees. Please contact our Support team for more details." So they ARE able to provide exceptions and chose not to. I wish I would have read these reviews before I signed up for the trial because CLEARLY they don't know what customer service is let alone good customer service. What a disgrace. I see them recommended everywhere so I assumed it would be a good company. Run far away from this company as fast as you can, don't sign up even for the trial.

Definition of a horrible experience. I'm more disappointed in myself for not canceling sooner. Half of the features don't work on chrome browser. Customer support is terrible. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY on them.

Half of the features I originally signed up for no longer work, and when I tried to cancel my membership within 24 hours of my auto-renewal, they refused to refund my payment. Almost $400 for a horrible platform. Almost every service I use honors a 14-day refund policy on auto-renewal subscription costs. Terrible.

Later have stopped supporting X
Later have recently stopped supporting scheduling on X, which was one of the main reasons we signed up for a year. It shouldn't be possible for a company to remove one of the main functions of the platform half-way through an annual subscription. Their customer service basically said they weren't giving out refunds which I find completely unacceptable. I'm guessing most people will be cancelling their subscriptions as soon as possible.
**If you have have an annual subscription just cancel it now. You can still use the platform until the end of your subscription period. It will stop the auto renew**
Dropped Support for X/Twitter
Historically the app has been useful, but their recent decision to no longer support X/Twitter means that we're losing at least 33% of the value we're getting (we use primarily to schedule posts for Instagram, Facebook and Twitter). They aren't making any concessions on price with the significant drop in functionality and refuse to offer a prorated refund. After 5+ years of use we won't be renewing.
